Hello Everyone,

Have you been getting crafty?  I hope so, for some reason my mojo has come back to me, it was missing for several months and I could not get the motivation to make anything and now I am just pumping the cards out of my craft room 🙂

So here is a card for you 🙂

SANY3824

Well this one is for another Challenge on the ACCC site on Facebook, and I am really pleased with it.

This one was to use Newspaper or print paper, so I made my flowers with dictionary pages.  It is a 5″x5″ card, with a panel on front that I have used a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set to give a lacy border.  Designer paper on the front of that, my favourite ribbon treatment and bow.  The die cut flowers are from Heartfelt Creations with the addition of some roses that I have curled the stems of.  To finish I have used a Chipboard sentiment from A2Z Scraplets, it is just wonderful, thick cut and so easy just to paint this one 🙂

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!

So I have been blogging with my friend Lynn from Toronto, Canada and she motivated me to make a card with her so I could show her how to do it, (she pretends she is not able to work it out, but she is far more talented than the lets on!).  So I found a card on Pinterest for us to make.

Here it is, I like the natural burlap and the overall design, simple, but stunning.

SANY3699-001

So sweet, with inked edges on the background panel and the lace bow and the burlap hearts, love those buttons with crochet cotton ties on them.  The pearls just finish it off.

Hope you like it, Miss Lynn liked the blog it came from http://www.ravndesign.blogspot.com.au/ and went looking at the other cards in the series and found a different one that suddenly she would make all on her own, love you Miss Lynn xxx.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Beautiful Friday here, sunny with a nice breeze but will turn a bit warm later.

So I made a couple of cards for you.  I saw a card with a window on a brick wall with lots of foliage in a window box and it was just so stunning, I thought that would work in white or cream and be a wonderful Christmas card, or a Wedding card,  so here is my efforts, both similar.

SANY2798

T this one was my first efforet with an embossed and inked background with a smaller window, lots of foliage and ivy corners.  Yes I was very happy with this, but knew I could do better 😉

SANY2799

So here we have the cream of the crop.  Six inch square card, witha larger window and the brickwork made from the cut out pieces from the window (how clever is that), same ivy corners, same but more of the foliage, and I think this one is the Wedding card I have been searching for.

Thanks for calling in, hope you have a great day

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well I did get another flower die, you just cannot have too many can you?  I mean, so many flowers, so many shapes, so much to do.

So I made a card or two to celebrate!!

SANY2008

How pretty is this?  Love these two colours together.  Everything is my favvie on this card, the ribbon, the bow, the pearls, the DTP inking, the PATP, doily, leaf (Memory Box Cottage Leaf), butterflies and the flowers.

SANY2007

It even looks fantastic in yellow, now I am not a fan of yellow, but this die makes yellow outstanding.  And those birds of course make the card, I love them (Marianne Creatables Die).

So here they both are. 🙂

SANY2009

I am thinking that these new dies are my new best friends.  And this flower die has taught me something, I can mix and match my flower dies and use some of the dies I have not had much to do with before.  See you are never so good that you cannot learn something.

Hope you like these as much as I do.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Two posts in one day really and you will be wondering what is happening, but I also wanted to share this little gem with you!!

SANY1928

I do love vintage looking cards and all my darkening for that distessed, dimensional look is done with Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain.  My stamping is done with it too.

I got a new Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page called Wild Flowers and it is gorgeous and when done as a border and then inked it is so pretty.  I only had a small strip of this beautiful Bella Arcadia paper left so needed to do something and how clever to cover the join with ruffled ribbon and bows.

The three biggest roses are made by Lauren, but the two little ones are bought (it is so fiddly to make the tiny ones) and all have been inked to give the darkened petal edges.  The leaf is a Accucut Die.

Oh and I am finding I love birdies, they are so cute, just being part of the design.  This one is new, a set of three little fellas from Mariannes Dies, they are so cute!!  And this is finished with the ribbon cut for the sentiment (Paper Xtra clear stamp) and some bling.  Gotta love bling!!

Hope your day is going great!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

A bit chillier today than it has been, might have been the cloud cover.  I found I needed to put a jacket on, so unlike me!

Ok so since I was inside I made a card or two!!  With stunning lace flowers on them.

SANY1926

SANY1925

SANY1924

All these cards are basically the same, base card in a side opening A6 card, a piece of scrap designer paper cut into a large ribbon cut and edged with Ranger Distress Ink Vintage Photo, a sentiment from my newest stamp set from Sullivans Paper Xtra Sentiments onto cream cardstock cut into a ribbon shape and inked.  Add some bling and bird or butterfly.

How easy is this??

Hope you are having a great day!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Just for fun I am using up a lot of my scraps and this card is an example of that.  You know that I like to layer my cards and (almost) never make a card of a single layer, I like my cards to be a bit sturdier than that.

So this is really just a simple card with die cut edged pieces of scrap in two different types of cardstock in cream.  A sentiment embossed in gold and a lace flower.

Hope you like it!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)

Where are we going in this lovely dress??

This card was made last week for the Alphabet Challenge over on SCS and was for the letter P.  I did not want to do a puppy or a pirate, so I thought party, party, party, yes I could make the perfect, pretty, party dress and that would qualify, yes???

There you have it.  I used the Sizzix Tim Holtz Sewing Room Bigz Die to cut the dress form and the black dress, trimmed the dress with scissors and an oval punch.  cut the stand of the dress form off and restuck it so it was shorter.  Decorated the dress and put some bling on for a neckalace and found a shoe die to cut the dancing shoes.  So far so good.

The card is a standard portrait orientation A6 card with a left opening side, this is made from Kraft card.  Cut a backing panel in black, found 2 scraps of paper that would work as background, embossed one and left the other plain.  Die cut a matching pice with moroccan accents border to give some extra dimension.

Layered a skeleton leaf under the dress form, put on some printed ribbon, a couple of mulberry rose buds with long stems and finished with some pearls to decorate the ribbon and the border die.

I love the texture and dimension that layers give, so busy, so many elements.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is a great one!!!!

Hugs

Hello Everyone!! What a wonderful day today has been, a little work, a little cleaning, a little cooking and a little crafting.  That would make a well rounded day I say!

So I made a card, an engagement congratulations card.  Pink and pretty, but oh so simple and easy.

So this is on a white base card and a panel covering half of it, white again.  I inked my Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swirls and Birds with Vivid Ink Tea Rose and ran this panel through the Big Shot, gives such a pretty effect.

I stamped the wording for the heart frame (by SU) onto white cardstock in the same ink and also stamped the polkadot heart (by SU) onto a separate piece of white cardstock.  Then cut the stamped frame out with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Oval and also cut a matting scalloped oval in white.  Then I Direct To Paper (DTP) inked the scalloped oval around the edges to have a co-ordinating backing.

I hand cut the polka dot heart and stuck it in the frame.  Cool!! I adhered the oval focal one-third into the pink embossed area and two-thirds in the white card.   I then stamped the Stamp-It Casual Congratulations in the space above.

Supply List:

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swirls and Birds
Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals
Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scallop Ovals
Dye Ink
Stamps
White Cardstock

Hope you like it!! 🙂

Hugs
