Hello Everyone!!

I am so looking forward to the new Minion Movie, it is out and in movie theatres, so I wonder how long before Netflix or Foxtel will have it.  I love those little blue and yellow fellows and can’t wait to see it.

So I made you a card, no no nothing to do with Minions though.

This is another one of these wonderful Wedding Cards, large size 6″x6″ in a gate fold style.  The 2 front panels are covered with designer paper and then I have used Martha Stewart Border Punch to make paper lace to lay on the front of the card.  Makes it so very pretty.

I have used the Sizzix Bigz Die Caged Bird for the birdcage for the centre focal of the card.  Ribbon runs around the card to tie it closed.  Decorated with loads of roses and butterflies as well as another ribbon.  On this one, there is room to put either Mr & Mrs or the names of the bride and groom inside the birdcage.  This card also has a special box to keep it in.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everybody!!

Oh I have been busting to post this card and some others for a while now, but because I sell them I did not want to post before the card was given.

So lucky you all get to see it now.  I am really happy with these and it is amazing how popular this style of card and box is for very special occasions.

SANY3493

Here is the card open, an Easel Card in blue and white with the main feature butterflies.  The heart in behind and a bride and groom.  Inside the card is the smaller hearts, butterflies and flowers, leaving plenty of space for a handwritten greeting and well wishes.

SANY3495

The card closed. The butterfly dies are cut in the blue and again in the black to offset slightly and give dimension.  The Flowers are all tipped with blue to continue the colour theme as is the heart.  Ruffled ribbon and a bow with beaded pearls throughout.  Plenty of bling pearls scattered on the butterflies as well.

SANY3494

The box for the card to go into for protection and to finish off a lovely special card.  Ribbon goes around the box, glued to the bottom of the box and glued where the embellished heart is on the front, so that the two parts do not get separated.  The theme of the card is carried through to the outside of the box, with the ribbon, flowers, heart and butterflies, although not as much colour outside.

I was very happy with this card and so was the customer.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Beautiful Friday here, sunny with a nice breeze but will turn a bit warm later.

So I made a couple of cards for you.  I saw a card with a window on a brick wall with lots of foliage in a window box and it was just so stunning, I thought that would work in white or cream and be a wonderful Christmas card, or a Wedding card,  so here is my efforts, both similar.

SANY2798

T this one was my first efforet with an embossed and inked background with a smaller window, lots of foliage and ivy corners.  Yes I was very happy with this, but knew I could do better 😉

SANY2799

So here we have the cream of the crop.  Six inch square card, witha larger window and the brickwork made from the cut out pieces from the window (how clever is that), same ivy corners, same but more of the foliage, and I think this one is the Wedding card I have been searching for.

Thanks for calling in, hope you have a great day

Hugs 🙂

This is the last night of the Mix It Up challenge from Kathy on Splitcoaststampers so I have made a white card to finish the week off.  I hope Kathy likes it!!

It has everything I like best, ribbon, dies, roses, flowers, pearls, pins, lace and it is so so pretty!!

Pearl Embossing, stunning

I used Colorbox Embossing Powder Pearl to make the sentiment stand out on the pretty doily panel.   Die cuts peeking out from under the panel.  Ribbon bow with string pearls and pins, handmade roses, big and small and mulberry petals go to make great testure and depth.  All very feminine and pretty, just like a bride.

ribbon, pins and roses

Doesn’t this look lovely?  I love embellishment groups like this.  Loved making those roses, couple of big ones and a couple of tiny ones. The roses are finished with Glimmer Glam that my friend Lynn sent to me. 🙂

roses, flowers and die cuts

I love those swirly die cuts peeking out from under the doily and that swirl under the flowers.

Heavily Textured White Card

Showing the full card, with its lace background, layers of die cuts, ribbon and flowers.  I am starting to think this is my favourite type of card.

I really like square cards, they are just so much more dramatic and have so much more space to decorate.

Hope you like it.  Have a great day.

Hugs Lauren ♥♥

Wonderful, aren’t they?  We girls get all emotional and teary and remember …. oh to be so in love, with so many dreams to fulfil…. awwwww…

So I have a card to show you that I am making for someone special who is getting married over Easter.  Her colours are white and this beautiful blue, what is it called? So pretty.

Bron's wedding card and colours

She is a ‘no-fuss’ or ‘no-frills’ type of girl, so I thought she might like this type of card.  I know her wedding dress is pretty elegant, no lace, no trims, but absolutely elegant and beautiful.

I have stamped two different backgrounds in Teal Blue Vivid Ink and divided them with ribbon to match.  Put a semi-circular panel on one side over  a square card.  The bride and groom image is modern and embossed in silver, inking on the edge with colour and matted onto silver. This is added to the card with dimensional tape.

modern sketch bride and groom

All stamps used are from Stamp-It Australia, I love their images and I love the way these stamps, both wood mounted and cling stamp so easily and evenly.

Ribbon tie to embellish and tie the card together if needed.  Inside is decorated with no sentiment and has a pocket for a gift card or money.

I hope she likes it, I hope you like it.

Have a great day!! Thanks for calling in.

Hugs Lauren  ♥♥

Hey Everyone, don’t you just love it when you surf the net??? Well the thing I love most is blurfing, and what you say is that??? Well it is when you go blog surfing.  There is so much inspiration out there and so many blogs that can teach you how to use something that you have in your stash that you just never thought of!!

Well I also have a lot of blogs bookmarked because they are just so good.  One of them is KittieKraft.  She does adorable work, I especially love her floral punchart, it is wonderful.

But this time I found on her blog a card that is truly clean and simple (CAS), but it also uses stamped embossed butterflies just like the ones I have.  So here is my case.

Just lovely flying butterflies

The butterfly stamps are from Stamp-It Australia and were some of my very first stamp purchases, but I had never been happy with my colouring skills and have not really used them very much at all.  Well I saw Kittie’s card and the penny dropped, I did not have to colour them. DUH!!

nellie snellen square die for frame

The sentiment is also from Stamp-It and is framed by a Nellie Snellen square with the centre cut out with a Spellbinders.  This makes the perfect frame.

triple bow in sheer ribbon

Embellished with die cuts of Leafy Flourish by Boscut.  A beautiful triple bow in sheer ribbon and those wonderful embossed butterflies.

Kittie I feel I will be CASEing a lot of your cards, they are just so beautiful. And you can be sure when I get my blogroll happening here, Kittie will be on it!!

Hope you like my interpretation.

Hello everyone!!!

This card was inspired by the I Spy Challenge on SCS, always makes me think but I never get it right.  Dani gives us clues like… It is White, It is Long, It has sparkles, It has a black bow in the middle. It makes many a married woman look beautiful.

Well my thoughts ran to a diamond necklace…. but who has that stamp?? Oh I know I could have put rhinestones in all the right places on an elegant lady stamp, but I wanted to make a white dress!!

I love this, so easy to create and looks really stunning.  It has everything the challenge asked for and is such an elegant card.  The thing I have noticed about this challenge is that you don’t have to get it right, you just have to make something, what fun.

Thanks for coming by to look,

Hope you get to make something great this week.

Hello Everyone!

It has been a while between posts and again I say to you that I will try to be more regular at this blogging caper.  Have to be, I want to be a Guest DT member somewhere, anywhere that will have me!! Over the last month I have been so unwell, unable to blog, but still making some cards, I am  much, much better now.

This card was made after thinking for a while about a card I saw with the most delicate flower spray on it.  Really fine, whispy fern leaves and tiny flowers.  So very pretty that I could not get it out of my mind and I knew I had that hand punch somewhere and a fern leaf that I could use, even if not the same.

I also added larger flowers to my spray.  I like it, although I think I can also do better with a bit of practice and a bit of patience.  I loved making the tiny flowers and would never had thought of shaping such small ones, but they do look adorable.

Judy from SCS (jaydekay) suggested that this card would fit into the We Are Thinking Pink Challenge over on Sassy Cheryl’s Digi Stamps Challenge 84 so I did!!!

Hope you get inky, punching or really crafty soon!!

Thanks Paola,,,

My neice asked me to make a card for friends of hers who are renewing their marriage vows on a cruise next month.  Had to be red, they like garden and dogs…. well I have nothing doggy, didn’t really think that flowery stamps were the go for this, oh and they are a scream (great sense of humour).  I knew I had seen something that would work… of course after much thought it came to me, the Calendar Girls last month had their ball and Paola (love that name) had made a card that would work perfectly with a couple of additions, so I lifted the design.  Thanks Paola!!!

Here is a link to Paola’s card http://paola-sama.blogspot.com/2011/02/calendar-girlfebruary.html

Well my photography is still the pits, but you get the idea.
The bottom sentiment is ‘ On the Renewal of your Vows’.
Inside has a white panel with red trim and I am going to stamp a greeting….
“Life for you both must be very nice,
You are getting married, not once, but twice”
or
“The only thing truer than one’s first love,
is to recommit to that love before family and friends”

I think I like the first verse best.  How about you?
