Hello Everybody!!

Here we are again with another card from the A2Z Easter Weekend Challenges, such great challenges put together by or lovely Karyn Watton.  Challenge 9 was all about using a stencil.

A2z challenge 9

Well Teddy and I just love stencils and we have a whole new batch of them from A2Z Scraplets and we have used one here, it is called  Flourish 2  and we used some modelling paste mixed with a mist made from water, ink and some iridescent powder to create a great background relief and then we sprayed the mist over it randomly so we have pale pink background. 🙂  Kaisercraft Lacey Doily, lace and ribbon ruffled with a bow.  (my Tutorials on these can be found on my Youtube Channel).  I have used a portion of the A2Z Scraplets Brick Work Pieces Set of 4 and made a flower arrangement.  The fabulous handmade embellishment and the sprinkling of Sugar Beads are both from My2Angels, they make fantastic embellishments.

Thanks for calling by!!!!

Love

Lauren

Hello Everybody,

Hope  all is well and you can feel Winter coming to an end soon with Springlike weather becoming the norm.  I can be wishing.

So I made a card for you.  Well two actually, just for you to enjoy with lushous goodies on them from A2Z Scaplets shop.  Oh my do I love to shop!!

So while I was shopping, I had to buy this fantastic set of four dies from Memory Box called Distressed Windham Collage (style 30041) from A2Z Scraplets Shop of course!  Well you know I love Memory Box Dies and you know I love Distressed and I also love Collage, so this one was just calling my name.  Four beautiful dies in different patterns and sizes just the one I have used.  Perfect for so many projects and ideas.  On this card I have also put some foliage, lovely handmade by me flowers and some other bought flowers and some lovely A2Z Scraplets Chippie flowers Scribbly Flowers Set of 3 Shapes.

The Chipboard flowers have been done with gesso to give a good coating for the spray to cling to.  A double go of Ranger Perfect Pearl Spray and then some glitter sprinkled.  Then heated and embossed.  The embossing was a bit patchy as I think I need more heat, so practice will be needed for this technique form me.  But I am sure you will do better with it. Embossing has never been my best trick!!

The Flowers are finished with some Ice Stickles from Ranger.  I have fallen in love again with this glitter glue, hmmm….

Hope you like it 🙂

And this second card is in my favourite pink and green.  Another new die from Memory Box called Modern Border Trim (style 30048), love these arrows and the cutout bits I have used to add to the area around the chipboard.  The ruffled ribbon and the added (dimensionally) the butterfly swirls from, they are really Butterfly and Flourish Medium from  A2Z Scraplets.

The Butterfly Swirl is done with Gesso, a coat of paint, pink on the butterflies and green on the rest.

Then sprinkled with glitter while still wet, and when dry I have used Ranger Inkessentials Medium Crackle Accents.  Love the way this dries more crackly the longer it dries.

Hope you like it 🙂

Hugs 🙂

I have made a card similar to this before, but I wanted to use washi tape on the banners and add the tower and some foliage.  Pretty happy with this one 🙂

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well the fine sunny weather has disappeared and the rain is here again, brrr cold too!! So I am staying in the craft room with Toby with the heater on.

So while I was here, I made a card for you.

SANY3819-001

I have had this die from Memory Box for a long long time, and had not used it because when I bought it, I thought it was a cut out of a flower, but alas no, it is the negative die.  The only one I have, so it took me a lot of thinking about it to make something worthy of it.  Simple but stylist, almost Clean and Simple for me.

Yest just black and white, A6 size card with a thin border of black and an embossed panel, then the negative die cut with a label to frame it.  Usual ribbon treatment and bow, couple of butterflies and that lovely little B Size stamp from Stamp-It Australia.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!

Oh you know every time I post I tell myself that I will post the next day too, and guess what?  It just never happens.

Well I am posting today!!

SANY3676

This is a card where I have used 3 types of patterned paper, it is so rare that I do that, I am not comfortable with mixing and matching patterns.  There are some people who have a real gift for it and I love the 6×6 paper pads of coordinating papers available, this is the only way I can do this.  And did you see, a picture from the papers saves me the stamp and colour routine.  I believe I have all colouring methods known to man in my craft room and the only ones I can even passably use are the watercolours, so hopeless with colour this girl.  No wonder I only wanted to draw in graphite, grey graphite at that!!

Well I hope you like it, I personally love the stitching and am really almost on first name terms with my sewing machine.

Hugs 🙂

Lauren
