Hello Everyone,

I have been quiet for the last little while, but I have been creating all sorts of cards and other things.  So I thought I might show you  what I have been up to.

SANY2925

A 5×5 inch card with Punch Around the Page Vintage Lace, a tag that has been embossed and some of my favourite MFT flowers.  A couple of sentiments and an accent made from a coke can, I love using metal.

Hope you like this one 🙂

Hugs

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post today, with a quick and simple card with a wonderful message.

SANY1829

Embossed background, some watercolouring, couple of layers, a sentiment and ribbon and we are done.

We are back on alert for the bushfires, apparently a flare up overnight, this is so very stressful and scary, over 5000 hectares burnt out and fire fighters working day and night for a week on this one.  Rain would be good 🙂

Have a great day, thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well warm weather has hit us so early this year and I have been melting!! But the great thing is that while I melt I love being in my craft room with the fan on 🙂

So you say, what have you been doing?  Well let me show you.

SANY2480

My friend Kath made a card like this with the little Quickutz flower die and mat and I was blown away because I thought this was an uneven cirlce and was not sure what to do with it.

So I used some Graphic 45 paper, the sewing machine, also the flower die and mat and the shamrock shaped flower dies to make a flower for the front.

SANY2484

This is open, and the stamp saying is from Lucy’s Stamps, it is just gorgeous.  See that beautiful flower cut out on the right side?  And I thought it was just a useless die I bought.  🙂

Hope you like this.

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Now just take a seat before you fall down, here I am again to post something pretty for you.

SANY2573

Awwww…. it is pretty and look at those 2 new baby teddies that are climbing that bird cage!! How clever are they??

Now this card is down with 2 different circle/frame dies from Marianne and I have used LR0141 to cut the largest scallop circle and then that left me a frame to use later!! Then the next size one is cut with the doily from LR0180 and have the doily to use in anothe project later.  The two that I have layered for this card are the negatives that would normally be thrown away (well by me anyway).  How cool is that?

All of this is dimensionally layered and each piece is inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.  The circle is the cutout from the frame that was cut (wow, 3 die cuts in one) and the scallop circle that I have stamped on is another die in this same set.  The corner flourishes come from the doily set. and the larger roses made with LR0145 as well as some roses from I am Roses, love them 🙂

Hope you like today’s offering, thanks for calling in, hope you have a great day!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

I think that WordPress has made a few changes and I am not sure what is going on.  Not to worry we will work it out.

So today I made a card.

SANY2103

There is a challenge mini challenge on the Aussie Crafts, Creations and Challenges site on Facey and it is for recycling.  Well you all know that I hate to throw anything out as it will be wanted when gone, and the waste you know I cannot stand.

So this gorgeous tulle and satin flower is made from the scraps of dance costumes that my friend Julie gave me ages ago.  I use them so sparingly, what would I do when they are all gone???

The doily behind is French pastry from Cheery Lynn, which my dear friend Lisa from Crafting Cottage sent me for my birthday, thank you Lisa, I love it.  The Cheery Lynn Faerie Queen wings small came from the Aussie Crafts and Scrapbooking Bargains site on Facey.

Just a nice easy card for today.  I have been making mega amounts of flowers lately and needed a break, so this card!!

Thanks for calling in, hope you have a great day.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

A beautiful day here with lovely weather and an early morning eclipse that was best seen in WA, a bit far away to go and see that methinks.  I spent time on Skype talking to an inspiring crafter and worked my way through a couple of stumbling blocks.

Ms Marsh from Colgate fame passed away today, I remember thos ads so very well, were those ads really so far back to be in black and white?  Am I that old??

So I made a card to bring me back to ground.

SANY1853

I do love it when I can remember to use the negatives of dies (or is it positives?) it makes me feel so thrifty!! So how good is this?  Usually I use white die cuts and then ink them so am left with white scrap in a thinner card that I can punch some bits out of, and so do not feel very wasteful.  But this is awesome.

Some flowers handmade by me.  They are cut with EK Success Retro Flower Punches and stamped with a script in black.  When creased, they are inked with Colorbox  Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown.  Love the bling in these, it is like loads of diamond chips (I could be wishing).

My butterfly is by EK Success punch, stamped and inked and then coated with Glossy Accents.  Love this Believe stamp from Stamp-It, and the vase is a Sizzlet die, just beautiful.

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Autumn is here and it is getting much cooler up the valley, but still quite reasonable here, just like late in the season should be!!

So I made a card that is a bit like me.  Vintage and getting better with the age of it.

SANY1909

This is just a stunner that has completely blown poor Ted away.  When I think Vintage, I think lace and pearls, muted tones, burnished edges and roses and other flowers.  I also think of script or running writing and memories to be fondly remembered.

So I took a piece of paper I got in a pack recently called Arcadia, it is a little pack about 4 and 1/2 inches by 6 and a 1/2 inches with four sheets of each pattern in it.  Mostly oldish, mostly muted and lots with flowers on them.  Perfect I thought.  And the size makes it perfect for a card, it covers the font and gives a bit left to decorate inside the card.

So I put it on a panel for an A6 size card and distessed around the edges with the  Paper Distresser and then inked it with Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen.  Attached the ribbon along the botttom, inked that too… added the inked leafy flourish (die by Boskut) and then attached some pearl stings.  Then I inked the flowers, and popped them on.

The sentiment is by Lucy’s Stamps and is good one.  The label with the sentiment is attached with dimensional foam.  Finished off with sticky back pearls.

Hope you like it!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

I have been having a great day, playing in the craft room (yes I am spoilt) making some pretties that you might like.

SANY1851

I just love love love this card today, it has everything I love most.  Pink, Punch Around The Page border, ruffled ribbon, double bow, lace, bling, inked flower and leaves, butterfly and a gorgeous sentiment.

Memories are like engravings in the heart and good or bad they make us what we are. 🙂  This would be one of my favourite stamps, it is by Lucy’s Stamps and I have a few of her wonderful sentiments that I use often.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is as good as mine 🙂

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Special kind of day today, so to celebrate this I have made a card with a chevron on it, something I have been dreaming of for a long long time.  I must admit that as much as I would love to keep up with everything new and have all the latest fashions in my craftroom, I do have to slow myself a little and reinvent things I already have to make them the latest you beaut thing.

SANY1838

Chevrons are all the go this year, and I do not have a stamp or an embossing folder or a die (unless you count ricrak) and I really love them, but I wanted doilies and dolls instead.  So I did have a punch by Carl called building blocks that was like a photo corner.  So here is what I did. 😉

I stamped some solid hearts with polka dots on them onto white cardstock in different bright colours and then punched out 5 of each colour with the punch.  So far so good.  Then I built my chevron panel on my base card.  Yes it was fiddly, but you know I love the journey, so it was well worth it for me.

When assembled and adhered down, I stamped some silhouette flower on it, added the sentiment  and a butterfly.  Exactly what I thought it would be and I just love it.

Hope you like it, maybe you will try something like it too!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!!

Quick post today with a stamp from my new Stamp-It unmounted rubber set with everything time on it.  I have wanted this for a while, so thank you Santa!

SANY1820

I have used Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen to colour my base cream card. then attached some 3 inch wide cream lace.  I have cut some of those wonderful Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and used them under the focal panel.

The focal cut with a label die and while still in the die I have sponged over with the Antique Linen.  It is stamped with a wonderful sentiment from this set in Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain (deep brown and beautiful), also  inked around the edge.

I have embellished with a rhinestone on the clock hands and a butterfly and flower.

Very simple, easy card.  Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)
