Hello Everyone,

Well I did get another flower die, you just cannot have too many can you?  I mean, so many flowers, so many shapes, so much to do.

So I made a card or two to celebrate!!

SANY2008

How pretty is this?  Love these two colours together.  Everything is my favvie on this card, the ribbon, the bow, the pearls, the DTP inking, the PATP, doily, leaf (Memory Box Cottage Leaf), butterflies and the flowers.

SANY2007

It even looks fantastic in yellow, now I am not a fan of yellow, but this die makes yellow outstanding.  And those birds of course make the card, I love them (Marianne Creatables Die).

So here they both are. 🙂

SANY2009

I am thinking that these new dies are my new best friends.  And this flower die has taught me something, I can mix and match my flower dies and use some of the dies I have not had much to do with before.  See you are never so good that you cannot learn something.

Hope you like these as much as I do.

Hugs 🙂

Lauren

Hello Everyone,

Do you remember the song “Butterfly Kisses” about the Dad reminiscing about his daughter on her wedding day?   I love that song, it is really such a beautiful song about the bond between the two.  *big sigh.

Well I have a stamp by Lucy’s Stamps (distributed by Kaszazz) that has this sentiment and really is one of my favourite stamps.

SANY1819

This card has it all…. and the collage of clock/foliage/butterfly/running writing is from a Stamp-It A5 unmounted sheet.  Although I think it is available as a woodmount or cling individual.

The butterfly is Memory Box Darla Butterfly (solid) and Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly (filligree), so pretty and very much my favourite.

So this card has all my favourite things and I made it for a Challenge on National Scrap Day (yes they let cardmakers play now too!!).  It is PINK, has a punch around the page, has dies, has Laurenscraft handmade flower, has DTP inking, has lace, has ruffled ribbon, has bows, has bling…… oh yes, but you know I am developing more favourits all the time, I am getting fond of birdies too!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well for you, mine is a corker!!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

I have been having a great day, playing in the craft room (yes I am spoilt) making some pretties that you might like.

SANY1851

I just love love love this card today, it has everything I love most.  Pink, Punch Around The Page border, ruffled ribbon, double bow, lace, bling, inked flower and leaves, butterfly and a gorgeous sentiment.

Memories are like engravings in the heart and good or bad they make us what we are. 🙂  This would be one of my favourite stamps, it is by Lucy’s Stamps and I have a few of her wonderful sentiments that I use often.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is as good as mine 🙂

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

I have had a great day today, playing most of it in my little craft room, making a rock star!!! But I will show you that another day.  Also found a photo taken in Spring of a bottle brush that the birds love to fight over.  Great hiding and great eating too I think.

The tree is a Callistemon, but I don’t know its more specific names, but he has a red honeyeater in it, because he loves the nectar in the bottle brush blooms.  Pretty bird, pretty tree.

So with that I will show you the other card I made today for the Alphabet Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers.  We are up to Letter I, so this fits in perfectly.

SANY1812

This is a great sentiment.  This card is a tone on tone with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page (my favourite one), ruffled ribbon with bow and a narrow ribbon both edged in gold, a butterfly covered with Ranger Inkssentials Glossy Accents (love love love that stuff) and some rhinestones.  Very simple, very elegant.

Little Tip:  When I ruffle my ribbon like this, I find the only tape or adhesive that works well and does not ‘let go’ later is the Ranger Red Tape, I call it redline tape.  You know the one I mean, it has a red backing and is super super sticky.  Oh my I need to get some more of it and it is on my shopping list, so don’t worry.

Well I hope you like today’s offerings, I will be back tomorrow for you.

Thanks for calling in to take a look, hope your day is going great.

Hugs :)

Hi Everyone,

What a wonderful cool day it was today, so much better than yesterday. Even Ted needed a cool place yesterday, along with the poor cats.  I found out that a friend of mine gives her puppies a block of ice each on such hot days and they have such fun.  I thought next time I might have to see what the cats do with an ice cube, it could be fun.

So then I had to take a walk through my computer files of photos and quess what I found??

red-browed_finch-(3)fs

Look at them, no wonder the air is filled with birdsong here all the time, Tweet, Tweet, Tweet.  They are feeding on what we call Winter Grass, it is seedy weed that grows through the cooler months and into Spring and the birds go wild for it.  We have part of our lawn (grass) that has thinned down because of compacted ground and there is a lot of these seedy weeds there.  The birds love it.

It’s a good job my cats are inside babies, or there might be a bit of conflict in the garden and the birds would move somewhere else.  Hmm good choice to keep them inside where they cannot get hurt or dirty.

So then with all that action happening,  I made a card.  Just for something different.

SANY1783

Oh look, our Ted is so excited about this one, it is in his favourite colour and he just loves the flowers.  And you know they are just so easy to make, I love making them.

Well I was so excited when I was making this card that when I made the Punch Around the Page panel, I thought I would really like to emboss these panels instead of putting another panel over the top of them.  So I had a look around and found that I had a sticky mat set from Quickutz that I thougth I needed at one stage and had only used it with no advantage one.  And it was the perfect size of the area that I wanted to emboss, so I put the panel into the embossing folder,  covered the area I wanted to emboss with the mat and ran it through the Bigshot.  Well it worked perfectly, an embossed centre area, no embossed punched area…. I love it when a plan comes together!!

So then, ruffled ribbon, double bow, die cut wreath, flowers, butterfly and a sentiment and some rhinestones.  Just perfect.  And you know Ted agrees!!  He is so cute when he crafts with me, he is my creative director you know.  Haha. 🙂

Hugs :)

Everyone wants an embellie pack by me!!!

Hello Everyone,

Doesn’t that give you images of being carefree and very young?  Does for me.  Now I cannot see through my glasses if they get wet from the rain, and I am not sure I like the feeling of the waterdrops of being out in the rain.  What an old grouch I am turning into!!

Well at least I am happy most of the time, but I keep telling everyone that I am not as nice as I used to be.  So funny.

So today I made a pink card with a wonderful sentiment on it.  So bright, cheery and feminine.

This one hits the spot for me.  Punch Around the Page Deco Arches (my favourite) with Colorbox Fluid Chalk Pastel Pink Direct to paper around it.  A pink stripe paper by I have no clue.  That wonderful organie ribbon in soft pink ruffled  over pink lace and a double bow.  A pink flower by Lauren from an EK Success retro punch.  A button centre (cute) and bling in the middle of the button.

A lovely flourish and a circle from Memory Box with a  decorated circle for the sentiment.  Some butterlfies and more bling.  Yes this card has all the elements I love.  I am still trying to figure out putting embossing in here somewhere….

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)
