Hello Everyone,

Well it is Movember and time to get your mo on and use your ‘stache’ to get everyone aware of men’s health and have a little fun!!

So I did that and here we have it!!

SANY2851

Gotta love the little owl it is a die from Marianne Creatables, he is so cute and one of the very rare occasions that I would use stickers!!! Yes stickers for the wording!! The Branch is a Memory Box die.

SANY2848

Gotta be loving this man, all pieced from cardstock to give the card a cute face with a mo of course!!  Happy Birthday from SU.

SANY2852

And lastly a cutie in a standard layout with borders, stripes, mo’s and string.  Stamp by Penny Black.  All Mustaches are from a die from Memory Box.

I am loving this die and have loads of ideas for him, but no time to put them into action.

Hope you like these, have a great day and thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well warm weather has hit us so early this year and I have been melting!! But the great thing is that while I melt I love being in my craft room with the fan on 🙂

So you say, what have you been doing?  Well let me show you.

SANY2480

My friend Kath made a card like this with the little Quickutz flower die and mat and I was blown away because I thought this was an uneven cirlce and was not sure what to do with it.

So I used some Graphic 45 paper, the sewing machine, also the flower die and mat and the shamrock shaped flower dies to make a flower for the front.

SANY2484

This is open, and the stamp saying is from Lucy’s Stamps, it is just gorgeous.  See that beautiful flower cut out on the right side?  And I thought it was just a useless die I bought.  🙂

Hope you like this.

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Pick yourselves up off the floor, yes I am back again today with another post!!! WOW, and to make it all the more special I am posting a card that I have been told is the nicest card I have ever made!!!

Well…..

SANY2074

Teddy is a bit impressed, and he said that if I keep making cards like this he will go full time modelling for me without a whine in sight.  This is a simple easel card and the base of the card and the front is simply the three pieces of the Marianne Creatables die LR0180.  Each is cut and embosssed and then gently inked around the edges with Ranger Distress Ink Vintage Photo.  So Simple so easy.

The flowers are made with a Mariannes Creatables flower die LR 0145 and the flower die from the Mariannes Craftables CR1202.  These are so easy to put together, no stylus tool needed, just a little roll or pinch here and there and whalla a beautiful flower.

The stamps used are from Kaiser English Rose Collection and the only other embellishment is pearls placed on each scallop of the doily and a small string of pearls to help anchor the easel.

This card is being used as a demonstration of how easy cards are to make from the Marianne range of dies for Shelleys Land.

Thanks for calling in,

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

This is a quick and easy card tonight, one made for National Scrapbooking Day Challenge of black and white and just one other colour.

SANY1910

I have used a black base card which opens up.  The front panel is run through  an embossing folder that I inked with a brayer and Ranger Distress Ink Victorian Velvet to give that wonderful background.

To finish the card I have used a small doily  from Quickutz with a sentiment from My Mind’s Eye and the black flourish from Cheery Lynn and birds from Marianne.

Quick, easy and so appealing to me.

Hugs

Hello Everyone,

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mummies out there, to all those mummies in waiting and especially to all those mummies who have lost a child, special hugs to you.  And a special mention to all those children or adults who have lost their mum.  Hope you all had a great day!!!

So I made a card with a little party dress for all of you!!!

SANY1869

Teddy loves that dress and has put his order in for one just the same for later in the year.  Love you Ted.

The top of the dress is cut with the Dress Form Bigz Die from Sizzix and the neckline and armholes are cut with a circle punch.  The skirt is pink lace in layers and the waistband is ribbon to hide the top of the lace 🙂

And look at those gorgeous shoes hanging on the doily.  Every dress deserves a lovely pair of heels to go with it!!

The little coathanger is made from a papeclip, perfect size with most of the bends already put in place. 🙂

Hope you like it, thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Do you remember the song “Butterfly Kisses” about the Dad reminiscing about his daughter on her wedding day?   I love that song, it is really such a beautiful song about the bond between the two.  *big sigh.

Well I have a stamp by Lucy’s Stamps (distributed by Kaszazz) that has this sentiment and really is one of my favourite stamps.

SANY1819

This card has it all…. and the collage of clock/foliage/butterfly/running writing is from a Stamp-It A5 unmounted sheet.  Although I think it is available as a woodmount or cling individual.

The butterfly is Memory Box Darla Butterfly (solid) and Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly (filligree), so pretty and very much my favourite.

So this card has all my favourite things and I made it for a Challenge on National Scrap Day (yes they let cardmakers play now too!!).  It is PINK, has a punch around the page, has dies, has Laurenscraft handmade flower, has DTP inking, has lace, has ruffled ribbon, has bows, has bling…… oh yes, but you know I am developing more favourits all the time, I am getting fond of birdies too!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well for you, mine is a corker!!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

I just love Autumn, don’t you??? Cooler weather and I no longer feel like I am in a tropical rainforest all the time.  So much easier to craft.

So I made a card with the sun, but without getting hot.

SANY1833

This is a simple one.  The background of the base card is coloured with Ranger Distress Ink Mustard Seed and then printed with a rollagraph wheel that is just like little random lines, I love it.

The yellow panel is embossed with Sizzix Tim Holds Texture Fades folder Rays.  A printed ribbon attached and then the Memory Box Darla and Vivienne Butterflies.

Thanks for calling in!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone, what a beautiful Saturday, warmish, but with a lovely cooler evening.  Gotta love the Autumn.  Best time of the year.

So I made a card with some recycling on it.

SANY1861

So the background panel and the small flowers are made from packaging card (clever me) and the metal flower and the metal leaves are from an aluminium can.

I carefully cut the can open and lay it flat if possible, then I colour it with Stazon Ink, in this case the flower was done with a yellow and red with felt on a Tim Holtz applicator to get a coppery colour, the leaves with green and blue with a chalk texture stamp.

Then they were die cut.  Flower is the large, med and small of the Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Florals and the leaf is the Sizzlets Branch.  The flower was run through a polkadot embossing folder and then curved the petals gently and assembled with mounting tape between each layer and a blingy centre added.

The ribbon is from flowers that the lovely Tarissa brought me last week as a thank you, such a sweet sweet girl 🙂

I have assembled the two typed of ribbon bows into the arrangement and kept them together and attached with a brad. Very clever wasy to keep the bow almost flat with lots of ribbong loops.  Thank you Helen for teaching me this.

This card was made for the You Can Do It Challenge over on SCS, fits the bill perfectly.

Hope your day is going along swimmingly, hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!

Did you go have a look at the great inspiration to yesterday‘s post? Did you run on over to Lisa’s Blog Crafting Cottage to check hers out?  Didn’t she do a great job, she has so much talent and so much imagination.  She fires me up!!

So today is  day 2 and we have another treat for you.  Here is the inspiration, Here is Miss Lisa’s Crafting Cottage effort, you can bet it will be fantastic!!  And here is mine!!

SANY1823

So I had the gorgeous dotted paper, but nothing that matched it.  Don’t you hate that?  Well I just used a sponging template to make the stripes and inked DTP with a cats eye to make the striped paper, that matches perfectly!!  I love it when I think I am so clever!!

So then I taught Lisa to make this clever little bow with a brad (coloured with embossing powder) to hold it together and attach it to the page.  My friend Helen showed me how to do this, how good is she, so exciting that she thought to show me something and not worried that I already knew it.  She trolled my blog and had not seen anything like it, so she rang me all excited to tell me, then sent me a video link to it.  Thank you Helen.  Love your work (she is the die cut queen!!)

I was lucky enough to have roses by Lauren already made (take my bow) and added two little ones that I bought.  Sometimes I make those tiny ones, but really they take so much longer to make than the bigger ones, because they are sooooooo small!!!

And how good is that layering of the ovals in the one colour?  I would never have done that by myself.  Good on you Pinterest!!!  I added the holes in the scallops, I like that type of thing.

So what do you think of this one?  I really like mine better than the inspiration, I looked at that and thought, no way!!! Not me!!

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)
