Hello Everyone,

Two posts in one day really and you will be wondering what is happening, but I also wanted to share this little gem with you!!

I do love vintage looking cards and all my darkening for that distessed, dimensional look is done with Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain.  My stamping is done with it too.

I got a new Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page called Wild Flowers and it is gorgeous and when done as a border and then inked it is so pretty.  I only had a small strip of this beautiful Bella Arcadia paper left so needed to do something and how clever to cover the join with ruffled ribbon and bows.

The three biggest roses are made by Lauren, but the two little ones are bought (it is so fiddly to make the tiny ones) and all have been inked to give the darkened petal edges.  The leaf is a Accucut Die.

Oh and I am finding I love birdies, they are so cute, just being part of the design.  This one is new, a set of three little fellas from Mariannes Dies, they are so cute!!  And this is finished with the ribbon cut for the sentiment (Paper Xtra clear stamp) and some bling.  Gotta love bling!!

Hope your day is going great!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!

Did you go have a look at the great inspiration to yesterday‘s post? Did you run on over to Lisa’s Blog Crafting Cottage to check hers out?  Didn’t she do a great job, she has so much talent and so much imagination.  She fires me up!!

So today is  day 2 and we have another treat for you.  Here is the inspiration, Here is Miss Lisa’s Crafting Cottage effort, you can bet it will be fantastic!!  And here is mine!!

So I had the gorgeous dotted paper, but nothing that matched it.  Don’t you hate that?  Well I just used a sponging template to make the stripes and inked DTP with a cats eye to make the striped paper, that matches perfectly!!  I love it when I think I am so clever!!

So then I taught Lisa to make this clever little bow with a brad (coloured with embossing powder) to hold it together and attach it to the page.  My friend Helen showed me how to do this, how good is she, so exciting that she thought to show me something and not worried that I already knew it.  She trolled my blog and had not seen anything like it, so she rang me all excited to tell me, then sent me a video link to it.  Thank you Helen.  Love your work (she is the die cut queen!!)

I was lucky enough to have roses by Lauren already made (take my bow) and added two little ones that I bought.  Sometimes I make those tiny ones, but really they take so much longer to make than the bigger ones, because they are sooooooo small!!!

And how good is that layering of the ovals in the one colour?  I would never have done that by myself.  Good on you Pinterest!!!  I added the holes in the scallops, I like that type of thing.

So what do you think of this one?  I really like mine better than the inspiration, I looked at that and thought, no way!!! Not me!!

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)
