Hello Everyone,

Today I spent several hours Skyping with my friend Lisa in Canada, you all know her from the Crafting Cottage.   She is so talented and special and she has helped me overcome my slump.  Yes I have been in a slump crafting, I tend to just find nothing inspiring, nothing that is motivating me.

Lisa inspires and motivates me., It is ages since we crafted together and she inspired me to make this card with my new stamp and die set from Tim Holtz.

SANY3413

Simple 5 inch square card with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page (Vintage Floral) panel edged in Ranger Distress ink Vintage Photo.  On this I have stamped the Tim Holtz Birthday Blueprint stamp and then stamped it again onto Watercolour Paper and coloured that image in with Watercolour Pencils and cut it out with the die of the cupcake and used mounting squares to raise it over the stamped image on the panel.

Added ruffled ribbon, double bow, inked roses and blinged butterflies.  Then to finish off I have added bling on each of the loops on the base panel.  Inside is the same panel with a single butterfly inked like the front.

Hope you like it.  🙂

Hugs 🙂

Lauren

Hello Everyone,

What a beautiful sunny morning it is in Paradise!  You know that is where I live, wonderful place to call home.  Surrounded by greenery and nice people, what else would you call it??

So today I thought I would show you a gorgeous creation using a Marianne Butterfly.

The background is inked with Ranger Distress Ink Peacock Feathers to change it from a fawny yellow colour to a lovely teal 🙂 But the sparkly bits still are there and the original pattern. I like that.

The butterfly is layered to give the impression of movement and blinged with stones similar to the new background.  And would a card be mine without ribbon and a bow??

Hope you enjoy your day, thanks for calling by

Hugs  🙂

Hello Everyone,

A bit chillier today than it has been, might have been the cloud cover.  I found I needed to put a jacket on, so unlike me!

Ok so since I was inside I made a card or two!!  With stunning lace flowers on them.

All these cards are basically the same, base card in a side opening A6 card, a piece of scrap designer paper cut into a large ribbon cut and edged with Ranger Distress Ink Vintage Photo, a sentiment from my newest stamp set from Sullivans Paper Xtra Sentiments onto cream cardstock cut into a ribbon shape and inked.  Add some bling and bird or butterfly.

How easy is this??

Hope you are having a great day!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Today was a bit of a mixed bag, overcast and then rain like crazy, so heavy a person could not hear themselves thinking.  Good job I kept my mind empty today.

So I went to my very quiet craft room and made a card.

I truly loved making this card, I stated with some coated paper (silly me) from a pack that I bought that was called ‘silk’.  Now why did I not think it would be coated?  So I did some stamping with a background stamp and Ranger Distress Ink Peacock.

Then I took a clock template and inked over with Ranger Distress Ink Black Soot.  So far so good.  Then I sprayed with Ranger Pearl Mist Copper and Pearl and let this dry.  Not so good, it just comes off again.  So I wiped it over with piece of paper towel.  The final result was a muted background that was like a silver mist, but with no shimmer.

Hmm… so then I took some clock stamps and randomly stamped in Ancient Page Coal Black (I didn’t want it slipping off!!)  So that is my background.

By this time I had to cut my piece and as it ended up a little short I used some striped DP on the bottom, covered the join with a braid trim and added 3 buttons.  Then I did 2 ribbon cuts on dark gey/black paper and did I die cut of a Quickutz clock.  The clock is inked with Mica Magic Bronze, Silver and Copper and layered onto a circle die cut.

Finished poduct, I love it.

Thanks for calling to check out today’s offering.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!

Just a quick post today again, no chance to get any outdoor photos.  Have you heard or seen the storm damage on the north coast and southern Queensland.  I am hoping all my friends in the storm areas are staying safe. We would like rain, but not with the damage thank you!!  BTW we are nowhere near these bad storms.

So I stayed in my craft room and made a card or two.

So this is a bit bright and cheery, just to make up for all that rain. This card is made from scraps other than the white A5 base.  The left panel of the card is a strip I have left over from making a 5×5 card from an A4 sheet.  So I cut it the length I needed and coloured it with a felt ink applicator with Ranger Distress Ink Tattered Rose.  Then I used a stencil to colour with the Worn Lipstick.  When done, I dipped it into clear embossing powder and then heat set.  How cool is that?

I then made two scallop edge strips in white and added a pink ribbon to one and then layered the other on it.  Attached them tot he card and then added the inked panel.  Just a little different for me, but I do like to use scaps, and try my hand at brighter colours than usual.

The flower is cut with a Sizzix Bigz die Tattered Florals, the petals curled down and then big bling with a pink circle below it.  These blings are clear so they can be coloured to match the project.  I like that idea.

The sentiment is a great one for friendship and is from Stamp-It Australia.  This I have cut with my label die.

Hope you like it.  I will post again tomorrow, maybe something completely different, who knows?

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)
