Hello Everybody!!

Here we are again with another card from the A2Z Easter Weekend Challenges, such great challenges put together by or lovely Karyn Watton.  Challenge 9 was all about using a stencil.

A2z challenge 9

Well Teddy and I just love stencils and we have a whole new batch of them from A2Z Scraplets and we have used one here, it is called  Flourish 2  and we used some modelling paste mixed with a mist made from water, ink and some iridescent powder to create a great background relief and then we sprayed the mist over it randomly so we have pale pink background. 🙂  Kaisercraft Lacey Doily, lace and ribbon ruffled with a bow.  (my Tutorials on these can be found on my Youtube Channel).  I have used a portion of the A2Z Scraplets Brick Work Pieces Set of 4 and made a flower arrangement.  The fabulous handmade embellishment and the sprinkling of Sugar Beads are both from My2Angels, they make fantastic embellishments.

Thanks for calling by!!!!

Love

Hello Everyone!!!

Here we are for you with a couple of cards for you to have a look at and hopefully get some inspiration from.

So here they are:

The first is my usual shabby type card with a Paris theme, now who would not like to see Paris at some stage?

Viva modelling crème over Memory Box Stencil – Texture Splatter Spray, border and doily are Kaisercraft Dies – Lacy Border and Lacy Doily.  Butterfly is Memory Box Isabella Butterfly and Memory Box Pipi Butterfly.  Pearls are Kaisercraft Pearls.
Love, love in Paris, yes well this love is from A2Z Scraplets  Brush Words and has been decorated with black Tombow Pen and Glossy Accents

Love charms and decorated charms, I cannot take the credit for this one, it comes from Tracy at My2Angels.
The next card is a bit Clean and Simple for me, such a stretch not to cover up that white space.
These gorgeous Butterflies from Z2Z Scraplets  are called Maisie Butterflies Set of 3  and they are just gorgeous and so perfect for this card!!!  Stamp from Kaszazz.  The Butterflies have been done with Stampendous Embosssing Powder Shabby Blue (I love these shabby colours), which gives a thick melt with a hint of blue on white with gold speckles.  The edges have been touched with Viva Inka Gold in Aquamarine.
A close look at the finish on these butterflies.
Hope you like these, go on, do some creating now, and don’t forget about the A2Z Challenge this month, and we are also having an Easter Weekend Challenge with loads of challenges and fun and games 🙂 Something for everyone including the kidlets!!  Check it out https://www.facebook.com/events/1663115533951222/
See you next time xxxx

Hello Everyone,

Well the fine sunny weather has disappeared and the rain is here again, brrr cold too!! So I am staying in the craft room with Toby with the heater on.

So while I was here, I made a card for you.

SANY3819-001

I have had this die from Memory Box for a long long time, and had not used it because when I bought it, I thought it was a cut out of a flower, but alas no, it is the negative die.  The only one I have, so it took me a lot of thinking about it to make something worthy of it.  Simple but stylist, almost Clean and Simple for me.

Yest just black and white, A6 size card with a thin border of black and an embossed panel, then the negative die cut with a label to frame it.  Usual ribbon treatment and bow, couple of butterflies and that lovely little B Size stamp from Stamp-It Australia.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Well Hello Everybody,

Well Winter is moving on, and I am almost counting till Spring, I love that September is t-shirt weather here, and we can guarantee an Indian Summer in August sometime to it means that from now there really is only 6 weeks of coolish weather.  Not bad at all.  Love living close to the coast for this reason, so temperate 🙂

So I made a card for you.

SANY3826

Yes a sunshiny card for the Aussie Craft Creative and Challenge site on Facebook that I am the creative director for 🙂 how funny is that??  During School Holidays we have a Challenge a Day to keep the mums sane while the kids run rampant!!

So this is an 8″x4″ card with a black panel on the front, covered with another panel that is joined with a border on one side and the sponged template of sunrays on the other.  A yellow half circle for the sun and lovely flowers and leaves.  The leaves are from a Kaisercraft set of dies, and the flowers are MFT Plentiful Petals.  The stamp from Kaszazz.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well I hope you survived the hot day windy changeable day without any damage, Some houses near us were damaged in a savage fire in the Conservation Area, so sad, I hope the native animals outran it.  Then yesterday it was Winter again and jumpers needed, how strange.

So I made a card for time, Lots of layers and ephemera, getting right into dies and added pieces.

SANY2785

Yes this has almost everything I like, dies, swirls, flowers, clocks, stuff and layers and texture and a spash of pink 🙂

Hope you like it, thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

What a beautiful sunny morning it is in Paradise!  You know that is where I live, wonderful place to call home.  Surrounded by greenery and nice people, what else would you call it??

So today I thought I would show you a gorgeous creation using a Marianne Butterfly.

SANY2475

The background is inked with Ranger Distress Ink Peacock Feathers to change it from a fawny yellow colour to a lovely teal 🙂 But the sparkly bits still are there and the original pattern. I like that.

The butterfly is layered to give the impression of movement and blinged with stones similar to the new background.  And would a card be mine without ribbon and a bow??

Hope you enjoy your day, thanks for calling by

Hugs  🙂

Deepest Sympathy

Hello Everyone,

Well I know I am a bit sporadic with my postings, but I am determined to make a priority of it, instead of leaving it till last and running out of time 🙂

So here is a card I made a little while ago, and I so love the versatility of these cut and emboss European dies.  This one is Marianne die that is an edge and I have back to back run through the machine to make an oval from it.  So easy to do and gives such a different effect 🙂

SANY2474

I have alos used parts of Anya’s Oval to made the sentiment panel and the accent at the bottom.

The card has been distressed and inked with Ranger Distress Inks Vintage Photo, and finished with a floral accent and pearls.

Thanks for calling in, hope you have a great day

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

What a wonderful day it was today, Spring is certainly here and getting into full swing, predicted 30 degrees tomorrow!!

This card panel is made with charms that I bought from my friend Leis who sadly passed away f couple fo months ago.  This is my way of coming to terms with her death, I miss her gentle ways, her peace that she gave to others.  I find it difficult to use the charms I got from her, but this is something that I know she wanted to see when I was done.  She was very interested as to what I would do with her charms and I know she would have loved this piece.

SANY2472

Lots of inking, lots of charms, lots of dies and lots of love.

Today I also watched more movies, yes I love watching them in my craftroom while I play.  Dispicable Me is so funny, love those little Minions, is it wrong for an adult to enjoy kids movies?  Decoy Bride was one I watched too.  Oh and I had to do a little die cutting today, like heaps.  Love putting thins through the rolly machine!!

Hope you like this, thanks for calling in and hope you are having a great day.

Hugs 🙂

Lauren
