Nice and Simple

Hello Everyone,

The days are getting cooler and the trees are starting to turn, I must get some photos of autumn colour this year, there are some glorious reds around and I love them.

So I made a card, not red, but very pretty.

SANY2985

Nice and simple, easy to make card, with an embossed background, a ribbon cut in gingham, a sentiment sideways, I remembered to do that this time and a couple of new look flowers and those gorgeous butterflies.  So simple, quick and easy.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mummies out there, to all those mummies in waiting and especially to all those mummies who have lost a child, special hugs to you.  And a special mention to all those children or adults who have lost their mum.  Hope you all had a great day!!!

So I made a card with a little party dress for all of you!!!

SANY1869

Teddy loves that dress and has put his order in for one just the same for later in the year.  Love you Ted.

The top of the dress is cut with the Dress Form Bigz Die from Sizzix and the neckline and armholes are cut with a circle punch.  The skirt is pink lace in layers and the waistband is ribbon to hide the top of the lace 🙂

And look at those gorgeous shoes hanging on the doily.  Every dress deserves a lovely pair of heels to go with it!!

The little coathanger is made from a papeclip, perfect size with most of the bends already put in place. 🙂

Hope you like it, thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Today I thought I would share a couple of cards with you that are away from my usual style and out there in uncomfortable land.  Ouch!!

Yes they still have my handmade flowers on them, but this time I made polka dot ones, gotta love that SU dotty rolling wheel stamp!!

SANY1878

So pretty, CAS but still has the punched border and flowers and foliage and inking around the page.

SANY1877

And this one too, with no inking, I like them both so much that I cannot decide between them.

Hope you like my offering today, thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Earlier this year I got a great deal on a Martha Stewart Score Board and was so happy to get it.  As I already had a Crafter’s Companion that I was not really happy with, I did not think I could justify full price, but I got it at less than half price, so I jumped right in.

I love it!!! I love it so much, it is so easy to use with all the 1/8 inch score lines and the diagonal envelope maker, I am just using it like crazy.  I score only everything.  Look at this….

SANY1867

Look Teddy loves it, he said it was so good he needed his mate on the other side of it and his guitar!!

This is very simple, a ribbon cut of vintage paper on black card base, spritzed with some gold pearl spray.  Add the rosette (made on the board) and decorated with pearls and mini rose, the matching butterfly and a happy birthday on a ribbon cut.

SANY1880

This one is again fairly simple, another ribbon cut from patterned paper, stamped with Kind Thanks and a lace stamp embellished with rhinestones.  The rosettes are made on the Martha Stewart Score Board, the bigger one is decorated with washi tape before scoring.  Just different width paper, and one scored at 1/4 inch and the smaller at 1/8 inch.

The red and the larger black and white one were both edge punched before being scored.   Both are a full width of 12 inches and about 1 1/2 inches wide before punching.  The smaller one is about 2cm wide and 7 inches long.

Hope you like them.

Hugs  🙂

Hello Everyone,

What an offering today,  such a bright bubbly card with a happy parade happening.

SANY1797

The backgroundis done with DTP Kaleidacolor inkpad with the pads separated.  I love using these DTP, they give a great effect and each card is different.  The parade children is a rollagraph wheel.  I have used a Sizzix Mover n Shaker die with 3 circles to make cute apertures for the bows.  Must admit I like trying different ways with my ribbon.

Card is finished with a little flower die and sentiment.

Hope you like this one.  Hugs  🙂

Hello everyone,

Been missing in action a little bit lately, had my settings wrong and my auto posts did not happen, so I have stepped in to save the day.

I have been playing with Kaleidacolour Ink Pads, just love them, multicoloured little things they are.  So versatile too.

So to celebrate this, I made a card.

SANY1796

Yes that background is done with a Kaleidacolor Ink Pad (Autumn), just dragged over gloss paper keeping the high-rise plate mover out over the edge of the table.  Over the top I have placed a Die Cut from Lifestyle Crafts in black to make a great silhouette.

I have backed the panel in black, added some Dew Drops (remember I won them on a bloghop) and added a sentiment stamped in White Pigment Ink on Black.

This panel has been mounted onto a white embossed cardbase with a ribbon attached.

Fairly simple and easy, but I love the look.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,

Summer is here to stay I think, too hot for me.  Have to start going south for the Summer and north for the Winter.  Now that would be good, get out the Winnebago!!!

So I had admired a card on my friend Lisa’s blog with a little flower image done in resist and the panel coloured with Distress Ink.  And you know I tried and I tried and I could not get a finish like she had done.  She said easy peasy, and for me it was not….

SANY1790

So I used sponges, no workie, so I had a close up looksie at the Tim Holtz Applicator sponges and the penny dropped.  So I had these little flat, fine make up sponges and I thought these will do.  So I put some loop velcro on the back of them and attached one to my applicator (it has the hook velcro) and whalla, got the result I wanted.

How good is that??  So this card is started the same as my favourite types with a PATP panel that is inked with Ranger Distress Ink Aged Mahogony (beautiful) and then embossed in the centre.  You know I had the set of plates for the Quickcuts die cutter from years ago, little 4×4″ and you know this is perfect as a shim to emboss just the centre of the panel.  The thin, used to be sticky one, not sticky anymore.   I love it when I find something perfect that I already have.

Then added a piece of lace and a ribbon, double bow.  The focal panel with the magnolia on has been stamped with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder and then coloured over with Distress Ink.  When done, the image is buffed with a tissue to remove any ink build up on it and then matted onto a scalloped oval and attached to the card with dimensional tape.

Lastly added a ribbon cut sentiment.  Like Lisa said, easy peasy when you know how!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)
