Merry Christmas

Hello Everybody,

You know I get so much enjoyment from watching my two kitty cats, they are so funny, with their own distinct personalities.  Tessa is the quietest and does not much like company at all except for Keith or myself, she just goes to bed, sleeps a lot, eats, she eats a lot and at night she plays like she was a kitten, she plays a lot.  During dinner time, she will come and give us her company and roll around the floor, playing with the little glitter pom poms she loves so much, she loves red and she has started liking toys that make a noise too.  This has taken a while, she is now 14 years old.  Such a baby of a cat, playing and being spoilt by me of course 🙂  Love her to bits.

So I made a card just for you!!

This one was inspired by Pinterest, just a standard A6 card with a panel of blue and then white embossed with dots, to give a little bit of a border and texture.  The Snowflakes are from Joy Dies, the Baubles from Memory Box, and the foliage at the top is Martha Stewart Branch Punch.

Teddy has been practising and is getting good at tiny baby bows, so we put 3 of them on this card, and finished with a lovely Christmas sentiment and loads of bling.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everybody!!

Oh I have been busting to post this card and some others for a while now, but because I sell them I did not want to post before the card was given.

So lucky you all get to see it now.  I am really happy with these and it is amazing how popular this style of card and box is for very special occasions.

Here is the card open, an Easel Card in blue and white with the main feature butterflies.  The heart in behind and a bride and groom.  Inside the card is the smaller hearts, butterflies and flowers, leaving plenty of space for a handwritten greeting and well wishes.

The card closed. The butterfly dies are cut in the blue and again in the black to offset slightly and give dimension.  The Flowers are all tipped with blue to continue the colour theme as is the heart.  Ruffled ribbon and a bow with beaded pearls throughout.  Plenty of bling pearls scattered on the butterflies as well.

The box for the card to go into for protection and to finish off a lovely special card.  Ribbon goes around the box, glued to the bottom of the box and glued where the embellished heart is on the front, so that the two parts do not get separated.  The theme of the card is carried through to the outside of the box, with the ribbon, flowers, heart and butterflies, although not as much colour outside.

I was very happy with this card and so was the customer.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well seems I am on a roll with the blogging and the cardmaking.  I do love to fiddle in my craftroom and make things, especially things with dies on them.

Thi one is a 5×5 inch panel for the card with ink burnished edging A smaller panel of paper and 2 ribbon cuts of matching paper, all stitched around the edge and burnished with ink as well.  The ink used is Ranger Distress Vintage Photo (because it is easy and I have the sponge applicators for it, so convenient).

The card is finished with die cuts from Marianne and Joy, a flower made with EK Success Whale of a Punch and Medium flower, a ribbin cut sentiment from Penny Black (gorgeous stamps) and some swirly pearls.

Oh and on the background there is shabby ribbon and lace as well.  I really like this one.

Hope you get crafty real soon.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

How gorgeous are some of the new dies coming out from the die companies, so many to choose from, and my favourite of all time are the European diees like Marianne and Joy, followed closely by Memory Box.

So I made a card…. of course I did, what else would I do?

This Paris Cats Die is just gorgeous and I love it to bits 🙂 I have put them looking at the party banners on the brick wall under the gorgeous lamp.  And that tree is wonderful, love leafless trees.  I was really happy with this simple card and the ribbon cut sentiment is my new Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous  Simple Sayings and I waited so patiently for it on backorder.  Gorgeous.

Well I am happy, hope you are too!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Gorgeous day in paradise today, little cloud cover, no rain and a lovely breeze just moving the leaves on the trees and ferns.

So I made a card over the weekend.

Teddy is so excited about this one he had to show it to you himself.  It was a challenge on the Facebook Creative Craft and Challenge site that I help to keep active and the project needed a tag on it.  So it has a tag in a pocket on it.  The pocket is all of the front of the card, well almost!!

Everything on the card is made from Bazzill Simple Smooth white cardstock which is actually a dirty white and I have used a lot of Glimmer Glaze (Icicle) to put a super shine on some things and then sprinkle fine glitter over it.

There is a border on the left of gathered lace and ribbon with a double bow.  The butterfly at the top left is made from a Marianne Die Corners LR0285 and then embellished with seed beads and wire.

Here you can see the tag at the top and more detail of the background that is all dies.

The hearts and the Petra Label all have embossing in white on them for the sentiments.

I really enjoyed making this card, although it did take me some time to get my mojo happening and I loved the finished product.

Dies used:

Marianne Creatables LR0241

Marianne Creatables LR0285

Marianne Creatables LR0280

Marianne Craftables CR1254

Joy Cutting and Embossing Die 6002/0257

MFT Hexagon Background

MFT Plentiful Petals

Hello Everyone,

Beautiful Friday here, sunny with a nice breeze but will turn a bit warm later.

So I made a couple of cards for you.  I saw a card with a window on a brick wall with lots of foliage in a window box and it was just so stunning, I thought that would work in white or cream and be a wonderful Christmas card, or a Wedding card,  so here is my efforts, both similar.

T this one was my first efforet with an embossed and inked background with a smaller window, lots of foliage and ivy corners.  Yes I was very happy with this, but knew I could do better 😉

So here we have the cream of the crop.  Six inch square card, witha larger window and the brickwork made from the cut out pieces from the window (how clever is that), same ivy corners, same but more of the foliage, and I think this one is the Wedding card I have been searching for.

Thanks for calling in, hope you have a great day

Hugs 🙂
