Seems like such a long time and also only a short time since I was last here and so much has happened. Teddy is excited about all these changes back to crafting and he wishes I was a funny as I used to be.

I lost my partner and husband of almost 40 years. He was a special man and I miss him every day.  I moved home from the Port Stephens area to the sunny north coast near the Queensland border. Beautiful area, but like the rest of the country, so dry.

I could not craft, but spent many an hour or several just sitting and looking at my craft things and now I am back, perhaps not as prolific as I was once, but much more diverse.  So we have a few things to show you in the coming days (I have also forgotten my photographic skills) so we hope you like what we have been doing.

Today is a card for this little monster turning one! She is my great great niece and I love this little bundle to bits, I could just squish and cuddle her all day if she would stay still long enough

quinn birthday card one holdingquinn birthday card oneThe card base was cut on my Brother SNC from a file I made the rest is just embellishing and at the moment I seem to like using mesh or netting on my cards, it gives such a wonderful extra layer without obscuring the card base.

I am trying to remember to take photos of my projects as I do them, rather than asking the recipient to send me pics of what was given to them.  Well hoping this will sink in soon.

Love from me and from Teddy too! Make time for you and the things you enjoy!

Hello Everyone!!

Just a quick post today, no nature shots 😦 , but I did make a card anyway!!! Hey how good is that!!

How cute is this?  So sweet.  A 5×5″ base card with a PATP panel punched with Martha Stewart PATP Deco Arches (my favourite), with DTP with Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink Pastel Blue.  The brads have been colour changed with Embossing Powder,  (I love that technique) and the little socks have been cut with the SU Christmas Stocking punch.

Easy and cute and so fitting for a lovely little baby boy.  I hope you like this as much as I do.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)

Awww don’t we all love babies, so cute, so tiny, so cuddly and so sweet….. I made these two little dresser cards to welcome baby into the world, one for a boy and one for a girl.  Awww how cute.

Such a cute little chest of drawers to welcome a sweet baby girl, will a pink bootie and some hugs and kisses, a dropped teddy and flower.  Cute as.

And here is another one to welcome a baby boy, hugs and kisses, hearts and booties, what a cute card for such a wonderful occasion.

These are so cute and I did them as a follow up to the dresser card I made a few weeks ago for the MIU challenge.  This Wednesday I am teaching this dresser card at the Williamtown Craft Group, so I wanted another couple of samples for the girls to drool over.

Hope you like these, I thought they were cute and they are so easy to make.  All you need to do is to cut a scallop from the bottom to create the legs, make a base panel to fit the card and then make 3 panels to fit for the drawers and another set to give the dimension.  As you know I am not so good on measurements, so just cut to fit the space available.  Then I inked around all pieces, put brads in the drawers and decorated with some cute embellies.

Have fun and get inky this week, hope you like this project.

Hugs Lauren ♥♥♥

Hey Everyone, here I am again today with another card.  Yes a friend of mine had a baby girl this morning, in the foyer of the hospital, didn’t make it to the birthing suite.  I am just beside myself with curiosity to know the story of this birth!!

So I made a card for the newborn Precious Princess!!

Precious Princess!!

Precious Princess!!

This card has a layered backgound on a 4″x8″ base bottom opening card.  Layered with pink and then an embossed white sheet.  The embossing is only on the left hand edge, a lovely solid daisy by Sizzix.  I have made letter tiles in pink and white, stamped with Penny Black Brushstrokes upper case Alphabet in Vivid Orchid.  These are adhered to the card and then embellished with random dots of micro beads.

Ribbon and Designer Paper embellish the bottom of gthe card, and a handmade flower of course!!

The flower is made using the Spellbinders Rose Creations Die, 4 sizes.  I have cut thin white foam that comes out of packaging, you know the stuff you thought you would never use, and inked it with Ranger Distress Ink Worn Lipstick.  Let me know what you think about the flower.  I love it when I can find an item I can recycle.  I have only every used this foam for postage protection, but we get loads of it as it comes in the top of apple boxes.

Well congrats to my friend April and her lovely family, can’t wait to catch up with you!!

This card will be entered in the SCS Alphabet Challenge, Letter B.  Yes I know you say how is this a B Card?  Well it is baby and beads of course!!!

Hope you get to play with ink and stamps soon.

Hi Everyone, I had some very special news on Saturday, my friend had her little girl at 29 weeks, all is well, but our precious baby girl will be in special care for a while and she is tiny tiny.  Mum is doing well!!

This was very unexpected news, so I had to get crafting to make a little paper bag album in honour of this wonderful occasion.  All pink and sugary, sweet and special, with loads of ribbon, flowers, bling and precious girl sayings, soft and feminine to commemorate the biginning of her life.

Front cover gives an idea of what is to come, loads of flowers and loads of ribbon.  She is gorgeous you know, I have a pic of her, and she is more beautiful than the album.

Each page is decorated with special flowers, charms, bling and ribbon.  Each page has written words that are special to the occasion and the first few days after her birth.  And of course we need her vital statistics!! And her first photo!!

Of course we needed a special page for a photo with Mummy and another for a photo with Daddy, because I really feel she is going to be Daddy’s Special Girl in time to come. Oh why wait she is now!!

And of course for a photo of her first bath.  I cannot tell you her name yet, I have not been told, but it will be as beautiful as she is.

And of course a family portrait is always needed, first of many to come I hope. I see this special bundle being loved and protected and perhaps a little spoilt?

Front Cover and back cover opened to see the whole outside at once.  The spine is held together with tied ribbon.  It really is a beautiful little keepsake.

A view from the top to see all the tags inserted in the pockets throughout the album. The tags are for her parents to write their thoughts on, and to write special messages to her.

And a view of the album standing so you can see all the openings in the bags for her proud parents to store all those little keepsakes from her birth and first few days.  I told them to keep only everything and to photograph only everything.  You can never have too many photos or keepsakes, right?

Hope they like it..

Elypant is my Elephant

I made this card for DellsDani’s Alphabet Challenge on SCS, E is for Elephant.

I love the cleverness and creativity of punchart (or die cut art).  I have done this one with Nesties Ovals as I do not have an oval punch.  They are on my wishlist for a very soon purchase.
