Oh I love Wednesdays, I go to craft group and it is always fun. Such a great group of girls, lovely ideas and lots of talent too. Today we made those little dresser or chest of drawer cards I have posted recently. Everyone did really great and loved their finished items.
But since you have already seen my efforts there, I thought I would make something else for your viewing pleasure!!
Cute little teacup with a pocket of flowers on the front to add a tea bag 🙂
This was just made from a standard size card and handcut into the shape of the teacup. Front covered with designer paper, stamped letters in Vivid Ink Black and then a little pocket cut from cardstock attached to the front and covered with three little crochet flowers.
The flowers are made with the following pattern that gives two different sizes, each can be used as a single flower or they can be stacked to make a double layer flower.
- Knitting yarn 5ply or Crochet Cotton 5ply
- Crochet Hook, size 2.5 or 3
- Yarn needle
- Assorted beads
Chain 5, slip stitch to join. Ch 2, make 15 double crochet in the ring, slip stitch to join.
Chain 2, make 5 single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook, slip stitch to join. In the next stitch, make *1 single crochet, 3 double crochet, 1 single crochet, (petal formed). Repeat from * to make a total of 5 petals, slip stitch to join and fasten off.
