Hello Everyone!!

We are back with some lovely cards made from Kaisercraft products in a kit from Paper Flourish.  Everything provided except some bling, flowers, foliage and butterflies I added from my stash.  Papers (6 1/2 x 6 1/2 pad), collectables, card and envelopes and bling were all in the kit as well as 6 designs for inspiration.

Teddy and I made 10 cards with lots of collectable pieces and we lined the envelopes TA-DAH!!! Still there were lots of collectables, the pearls and some papers left over as well as lots of off cuts that we used to punch out a heap of butterflies and other punchies for the little kids at child care to play with.

So let’s have a look at them, shall we??  Teddy is so proud of his work on these.

These were fun to make, taking me out of my comfort zone.  Very different to what I usually do in my not using very much by way of designer paper, Teddy might have to get more of these kits, or even other ones to see how we go with them.

Thanks for calling in, hope you like what you see.

Love Lauren xx

Hello Everybody,
Yes you have Lauren and Teddy on the blog today and the weather has turned to Winter for our Birthday month (yes you can send pressies to us) 🙂

So here we have a couple of cards for you, very pretty ones with flowers and things on them.

This one has used one of the A2Z Scraplets Umbrellas with Stampendous Embossing Powder, Shabby White then stamped with a script stamp with StazOn Ink and reheated to smudge it a bit.

All the usual embellishments from me, seam binding, lace, flowers and pearls.

The second card is all frills and things as well.

We started with a template and green for the new Leafy Template, then a doily die, the lace and ribbon.

The brickwall is painted with white.  the butterfly swirls is coloured with Tombo Dual Tipped Pens and then coated with Ranger Distress Crackle Paint, Rock Candy.  I love the crackle look.

Flowers were added and some stamen pieces and the word gorgeous was painted black and coated with Glossy Accents.

For those of you who have not met Teddy, here he is scrapbooking with friends 🙂  He is my sidekick and mentor and keeps me crafting on 🙂

Hugs from Teddy and Lauren

Hello Everybody!!

This card is made with the Kraft Plus Challenge in mind.  Yes a Kraft base, a recycled Kraft base that I saved from packaging and have been itching to use it.!!

I have spritzed the base with Dylusions Ink Spray in white.  Added some Grossgrain polkadot ribbon in four strips and a ruffled piece up the middle for something different and in keeping with the colour scheme.  Kaisercraft Die – Lacey Doily and Memory Box Die – MB Botanical Stem.  The A2Z Scraplets Birthday Set 1 Ebony and the Kylie’s Triangle Texture Ebony Shape have been left as they come in that beautiful black.  Decorated with Sugar Beads and a flower arrangement.

And a close up of the flowers.
Thanks for calling by to have a look, this card is entered into the Kraft Plus Challenge for April!!
Waving madly at you all, Lauren and Teddy

Hello Everybody!!

Here we are again with another card from the A2Z Easter Weekend Challenges, such great challenges put together by or lovely Karyn Watton.  Challenge 9 was all about using a stencil.

A2z challenge 9

Well Teddy and I just love stencils and we have a whole new batch of them from A2Z Scraplets and we have used one here, it is called  Flourish 2  and we used some modelling paste mixed with a mist made from water, ink and some iridescent powder to create a great background relief and then we sprayed the mist over it randomly so we have pale pink background. 🙂  Kaisercraft Lacey Doily, lace and ribbon ruffled with a bow.  (my Tutorials on these can be found on my Youtube Channel).  I have used a portion of the A2Z Scraplets Brick Work Pieces Set of 4 and made a flower arrangement.  The fabulous handmade embellishment and the sprinkling of Sugar Beads are both from My2Angels, they make fantastic embellishments.

Thanks for calling by!!!!

Love

Lauren

Hello Everybody,

What a wonderful Autumn day it is, cool morning, very nice mid 20’s through the day and a slight breeze and a bit of cloud.  Just my type of day.

So we have another of the A2Z Scraplets Easter Challenge Weekend cards today

On this card I have used a pretty designer paper and lightly sponged in pink all over and brown as an accent with the new Hexagon Stencil from A2Z Scraplets.  The A2Z Scraplets has been left left as is, the lovely black that it comes.  The gorgeous rickrack and flowers from my stash.

Hello Everyone!!!

Here we are for you with a couple of cards for you to have a look at and hopefully get some inspiration from.

So here they are:

The first is my usual shabby type card with a Paris theme, now who would not like to see Paris at some stage?

Viva modelling crème over Memory Box Stencil – Texture Splatter Spray, border and doily are Kaisercraft Dies – Lacy Border and Lacy Doily.  Butterfly is Memory Box Isabella Butterfly and Memory Box Pipi Butterfly.  Pearls are Kaisercraft Pearls.
Love, love in Paris, yes well this love is from A2Z Scraplets  Brush Words and has been decorated with black Tombow Pen and Glossy Accents

Love charms and decorated charms, I cannot take the credit for this one, it comes from Tracy at My2Angels.
The next card is a bit Clean and Simple for me, such a stretch not to cover up that white space.
These gorgeous Butterflies from Z2Z Scraplets  are called Maisie Butterflies Set of 3  and they are just gorgeous and so perfect for this card!!!  Stamp from Kaszazz.  The Butterflies have been done with Stampendous Embosssing Powder Shabby Blue (I love these shabby colours), which gives a thick melt with a hint of blue on white with gold speckles.  The edges have been touched with Viva Inka Gold in Aquamarine.
A close look at the finish on these butterflies.
Hope you like these, go on, do some creating now, and don’t forget about the A2Z Challenge this month, and we are also having an Easter Weekend Challenge with loads of challenges and fun and games 🙂 Something for everyone including the kidlets!!  Check it out https://www.facebook.com/events/1663115533951222/
See you next time xxxx

Oh Hello Everyone,

Well how lucky are you to have Lauren and Teddy up on the blog today??   What an exciting week it has been with the launch of our very first Facebook A2Z Papercraft Challenge, so today we thought we would show you the cards Teddy made to inspire you, it is after all an Inspiration Challenge for March.  This is the picture to give the inspiration.

Now doesn’t that picture give you great ideas of boys and play and boats and sand and beaches and pennants and blue and stripes and so much more!!!
So here is the first thought, a lighthouse on the headland surrounded by crashing waves.
The background at the top is done with white ink in a Sizzix Embossing Folder from a due pack from Tim Holtz and I believe it is called rays, the bottom section is wax resist done with scrunched wax paper ironed onto glossy white cardstock and then inked with blue.  Hint: the more you scrunch, the smaller the pattern and more wax on your paper.
The gorgeous 18th Birthday Card Size Ebony from A2Z Scraplets came as is, coloured heavy card, so I left it as it was for this card.  The baker’s twine is made by me (I love to save money using my stash items) and if you would like to know how to do it, here is a link to Pictorial Tutorial Making Twisted String.
The next inspiration came from the canvas of beach scene on the right hand wall, look at those gorgeous beach boxes on it.  So cute.
This one is a beach house using a Kaszazz Stamp coloured with Ranger Perfect Pearls (love using these to make shimmer paints, keep them in the palette and let them dry and they work the same as watercolour paints.
Birthday Boy is from the A2Z Scraplets – Birthday Set 1 Ebony and it is covered with a lovely thick coat of Ranger Glossy Accents, love this stuff because it keeps its dimension and dries so thick.
This next card is one Teddy has made several times, it is such a fun card and inspired by the blue teddy sitting on the cabin of the big boat toybox.
It is an uneven gatefold card and kept closed by those lovely turn mounts.  The Teddies are stamped in blue on vellum and then layered on navy then white.  Little paw prints are stamped randomly over the card front.
We are loving these A2Z Scraplets Arrow Words in the February Release, they are just gorgeous and there are so many to choose from with colours available too!!!  This one has been left the colour as is and coated with Ranger Glossy Accents.  (I need buckets of that stuff) 🙂
The last card is a masculine card (sometimes so hard for us to do) and it is inspired by the overall nautical and ‘boaty’ feel to the picture, and we turned it to a very ‘aged’ project.
This card has lots of DTP edging with Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain and the curled corners add to the overall ‘old’ look to the card.  Backgrounds are stamped with Lucy’s Stamps Aged Cube and Rabbit Proof Fence (the text), edges torn or distressed, inked and curled.  The Happy Birthday is a Stamp-It Australia greeting.
Love the A2Z Scraplets Birthday Boy Set Cardinal and covered the birthday with Viva Crackling Colour Transparent very thickly as we find it really does give a great crackle.
The Anchor is die cut from a coke can, love to recycle things.
Hope you like these cards and find something in them you can take to call your own.
See you next time…. Lauren and Teddy
