Hello Everybody,

Well Teddy and I have had a little trip to the Gold Coast to attend the My2Angels Scrapbooking Retreat and we must say it was a serious hit with us, well run, learnt heaps and met the loveliest people you would ever want to meet.  We must save our little coins so we can go again next year 🙂

Teddy at Retreat sitting in place

There he is sitting on his special chair in his place on my table, he is supervising and being cheeky as he does so well.

So I made a card for you.

Oh oh oh, just a 5″x5″ card decorated with die cuts and a little stamp for happy birthday and the lovely seagulls.  I love this bare tree, it would be one of my favourite dies and the piggies are beautiful running through the long grass.  Such a simple, cute card.

Hope you like it 🙂

Hugs

Hello Everybody!!!

Oh my it is getting into Winter and it is brrrr cold inside and out.  Today is the Winter Solstice so that means that at least the days will be growing longer even if the temperature keeps dropping for a while.

So with this in mind I made a card to share with you all.

SANY3733

My favourite size card, in square 5 inch. Background is patterned paper with just a touch of Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo around the edge.  Doily from Cheery Lynn is French Pastry.  Chipboard is the new thick cut, 1.8mm from A2Z Scraplets (my favourite chippie in the world) painted white and while wet spritzed with Glimmer Mist Black Cherry.  When dry the chipboard is covered fairly thickly with Glossy Accents.

Finished with a bow made from mesh ribbon and a handmade flower using a Carl Daisy Punch.   Stmped sentiment on the doily is from Stamp-It Australia.  Then a few bling rhinestones are added.

Hope you like it!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well what a busy time it has been lately!  But I have been doing some craft and have some catching up on blogging for you all.

So here is a card.

SANY2984

This is a little bit away from what has been my usual style.  Just an embossed background panel with some die cut strips across the bottom in yellow and white, a simple ribbon tied on the side and those three gorgeous shabby flowers.  All finished with a ribbon cut sentiment.

Simple and really nice.  The colours are a step away from my usual too.

Hope you like it. 🙂

Hugs

Hello Everyone,

Do you remember the song “Butterfly Kisses” about the Dad reminiscing about his daughter on her wedding day?   I love that song, it is really such a beautiful song about the bond between the two.  *big sigh.

Well I have a stamp by Lucy’s Stamps (distributed by Kaszazz) that has this sentiment and really is one of my favourite stamps.

SANY1819

This card has it all…. and the collage of clock/foliage/butterfly/running writing is from a Stamp-It A5 unmounted sheet.  Although I think it is available as a woodmount or cling individual.

The butterfly is Memory Box Darla Butterfly (solid) and Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly (filligree), so pretty and very much my favourite.

So this card has all my favourite things and I made it for a Challenge on National Scrap Day (yes they let cardmakers play now too!!).  It is PINK, has a punch around the page, has dies, has Laurenscraft handmade flower, has DTP inking, has lace, has ruffled ribbon, has bows, has bling…… oh yes, but you know I am developing more favourits all the time, I am getting fond of birdies too!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well for you, mine is a corker!!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post for my newest groupie, Sharon, who was so disappointed last night to find I had not posted any inspiration for her.  So here we go.

SANY1868

This is a card I made for my dear friend Miss Lynn who has recently moved from her bigger home to an apartment so she will have a much better lifestyle without so much housekeeping to do.

So I make her a card with a little cottage and the message welcome (home).  I love the banner across the top in my favourite spectrum of colours.

This is a  CAS card, not an easy style for me, but I can do them.

Hope your day is going well, mine is heading to the craftroom so must be on the way up!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Today I made a card that has such a vintage feel to it, but it is very simple and pretty.

SANY1808

The backgound is stamped with a little ivy stamp from Stamp-It, just a cute little vine that can be stamped easily to make a background without any masking.  I love this stamp, it needs more outings.

The daisy is again from Stamp-It, a new one to me, great fo colouring, a very nice stamp.  I have coloured it with watercolour pencils and just quickly brushed over with a water brush.  I have made this a focal in an oval matted die cut.

The card is finished with a simple sentiment on a ribbon cut and trimmed with ribbon and knot above.

Hope you like today’s offering.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!!

Quick post today with a stamp from my new Stamp-It unmounted rubber set with everything time on it.  I have wanted this for a while, so thank you Santa!

SANY1820

I have used Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen to colour my base cream card. then attached some 3 inch wide cream lace.  I have cut some of those wonderful Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and used them under the focal panel.

The focal cut with a label die and while still in the die I have sponged over with the Antique Linen.  It is stamped with a wonderful sentiment from this set in Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain (deep brown and beautiful), also  inked around the edge.

I have embellished with a rhinestone on the clock hands and a butterfly and flower.

Very simple, easy card.  Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,

Have you seen the last couple of day’s challenges, the great inspiration on Pinterest and the great cards by Lisa?  Oh I am just in awe of that girl’s talent, she is something special and I love her dearly.  We have such a competition between us to come up with the best!! And I think she is way ahead of me.

So here is todays effort, but first the inspiration and Miss Lisa’s Crafting Cottage work of art.  I love how her mind works.  You can see that mine does not really work at all!!! Never mind.  Have a look at this and tell me what you think.

SANY1824

Oh look at that, even Teddy is windblown by it!!  Loved using textured card for the base, something unusual for me.  Miss Lisa makes me think and points out things I do not even see.  I have used canvas for the matting of the stamped panel,  the butterfly and for the spotlight circle.

And as you know I cannot have a card without a sentiment on the front.  Not sure why, but it is as it is.  This I suppose is really a point of difference for me.

Hope you have enjoyed our three day challenge, you can be sure there will be more of these in the future, Lisa and I love challenging each other and we love crafting together!!!

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,

I have been a little absent during the Christmas Period, it is such a rush with things happening and people to see, so I wanted to spend any spare time with my DH Keith and friends, or to play my silly games on Facebook.  My friend Lisa (bad Lisa) got me into a hidden object game, and you know I love love love them.

But I am back with you and Miss Lisa and I had a little Skype Session to Challenge each other to make a card from Pinterest that she loved.  Check it out http://pinterest.com/pin/244812929715528670/ it is the most beautiful CAS card so here is my take on it.  Make sure you pop on over to Lisa’s Crafting Cottage to see her fabulous creation.

SANY1822

How good is this, so different for me, I always think that Clean and Simple are never finished.  But you know I really really like this, it is my favourite card I have made for a while.  Not sure if it is the colour (Ranger Distress Ink Peacock Feathers) or the CAS of the thing.

I have stamped the three sizes of butterfly onto the card and also onto scrap and cut them out to overlay with dimensional tape underneath.  I have used Glossy Accents on the top layer and put some rhinestones on them.  I am loving the look of Glossy Accents on my butterflies.  Sometimes I get into a rut and forget to get out.  But they do look nice.

So simple, no flowers, no ribbon, no bows, no pink, can I live with this…. YES!!!

So go and have a look at the original and at Lisa’s too.  You will love them all.  Do you Pinterest??? I think you should.

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,

A quick card and post today, things are getting busier as we get closer to Christmas, can’t wait for those couple of  weeks holiday over Christmas/New Year.  That is when we really chillax around here.

So I said a quick card and it was.  I have a load of photo gloss paper in 160gsm weight and I want to play inks on it instead of the heavyweight gloss card I have.  So today I started.

SANY1785

So I used a Kaleidacolor Inkpad (you know the ones, multiple colours, click together pads, love them).  So I just used it DTP on an angle and made the chevrons across the paper with the inkpads clicked apart.  🙂

This one is called Pastel, how cool is that, so bright and colourful.  Then I stamped the flower silhouette in Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink in Charcoal.  Then the sentiment at the top, added a ribbon and done.  I did use a panel to ink and stamp, so that I could hide the ends of the ribbon and I did not want to waste my  gloss card.

The reason I love Colorbox Fluid Chalk inks so much is because they are a blended ink.  They have the fast drying qualities of a dye ink, have a lovely chalky, soft finish when dry, but the give the depth of coverage of a pigment ink.  They are not translucent like other dye inks and if they are heat set they are permanent, so they can be coloured with watercolours.  How good is that??  I will do a page on inks at some stage, so much to do so little time to do it.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)
