Hello Everyone, so it has been harder to get back into blogging than I thought, so easy to get into bad habits and so much harder to relearn good ones.

So I bought myself an Anya Border and just had to make this cad with it.  Love the apparent simplicity of it, the CAS style, although it is not simple at all.  This is my take two as the boder does not really line up opposite itself.

Well Teddy is sure blown away, he has forgiven me for not taking his photo for a while, and keeping him in the dark.  I have used lilac shimmer card under the cut out and kept the remainder of the card in white, even so far as the flowers.

Hope you like it!! Have a great day!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!!

Quick post today with a stamp from my new Stamp-It unmounted rubber set with everything time on it.  I have wanted this for a while, so thank you Santa!

I have used Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen to colour my base cream card. then attached some 3 inch wide cream lace.  I have cut some of those wonderful Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and used them under the focal panel.

The focal cut with a label die and while still in the die I have sponged over with the Antique Linen.  It is stamped with a wonderful sentiment from this set in Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain (deep brown and beautiful), also  inked around the edge.

I have embellished with a rhinestone on the clock hands and a butterfly and flower.

Very simple, easy card.  Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,

What a beautiful morning in paradise, it must be as I live in paradise!! Cannot believe the new year is off and running already…. My but time goes so fast!!  Well this year I have decided to take things a bit easier and  relax and craft everyday of the year!!

Did you make a New Year’s Resolution?  Dare I ask how it goes?  I always make resolutions, some work some don’t and some take all year to happen.  I used to make a resolution to give up smoking every year and then one year I did just that, took me over 30 attempts and until October of that year to do it, but did it I did!!! So there is hope for all resolutions.

So I will give you my Amazing creation of today.

My friend Helen cut some of these Cuttlebug cut and emboss panels for me Christmas before last, can you believe that?  So long ago.  And this is my last one.  I have framed my flower with it and used that very special Fanciful Flourish from Cheery Lynn, love that die.

Very simple card, very pretty and cheery too.  Butterflies and flowers are my signature I think.

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,

You know that I am spoiled and my Keith let me buy myself a crafting Christmas pressie and it arrived the other day 🙂 Lots of Spray Pearls, Stencils and other goodies, here is a little looksie.  And of course I have started using and experimenting with my goodies.

Too many goodies, but I will use them all, each and every one of them several times, they will all be put away and cared for after I finish drooling over them and then I will regularly take them out and use them.  You will have to stay tuned to see what I do with them.

So this is the first thing I did, I had to play with that beautiful Wild Plum inkpad.  Lovely die ink pad colour that I have had for a long long time.

The colour is just stunning, and I have used it on an embossing folder.  Applied it with a brayer because that gives a much better and very even coverage.   I love the effect that it gives when an embossing folder is inked liked this.

Oh and I have put a frame in there, (Spellbinders Nestibilities Fleur di Lis rectangles sent to me by my Miss Lynn) I just cut the centre out of them.  I love die cut frames with this background technique.  I have also added my favourite leaf flourish, Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish.  And the flower is a new die too, it is 3 different size dies with three petals with an indent in each one, no clue what it is called, I think it is a Quickutz.

Had to add ribbon and a bow, a sentiment, the flower and a butterfly covered with Glossy Accents.  I am loving my  butterflies done like that.  The sentiment is finished off with three drops of Icestickles.

So there you go, something brand new and I love it. 🙂   Thanks so much for calling in and having a look at what I have been up to.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,

How warm was today?? Is it Summer or somthing?? Too warm for me, my little feet swell and I feel so lethargic, no good for this little fella, so I have to stay inside in the cool through the day and make things, or tidy things up.  Yes the huge reorganisation is happening in the craft room.

So I also found this little fellow outside after the irrigation was on this morning while it was still cool and he was having fun in a pond inside the birdsnest fern.

How cute is he?  A green frog on a green fern.  We have loads of different frogs here, mostly smaller ones and they love the garden and the moisture it holds for them.  I only hope they eat the mozzie lavae in the water we provide for them.

So with that I made a card with green on it, since this seems to be the colour of this day.

Awww look at that, Teddy is impressed even.  Gotta love my biggest fan.

This card is punched around the page with a daisy/flower PATP from Martha Stewart.  Inked in Olive Pastel from Colorbox Fluid Chalk, a panel added, lace an organza ribbon a new swirl (Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish) also sponged lightly and embellished with three of these Lauren handmade flowers using the EK Success Retro Flower.  There is a tutorial for thise flowers under the Tutorials in the right hand column.

So easy, so pretty.  Fairly CAS for me, surprise, surprise!!

Hugs :)
