Hello Everyone,

A beautiful day here with lovely weather and an early morning eclipse that was best seen in WA, a bit far away to go and see that methinks.  I spent time on Skype talking to an inspiring crafter and worked my way through a couple of stumbling blocks.

Ms Marsh from Colgate fame passed away today, I remember thos ads so very well, were those ads really so far back to be in black and white?  Am I that old??

So I made a card to bring me back to ground.

I do love it when I can remember to use the negatives of dies (or is it positives?) it makes me feel so thrifty!! So how good is this?  Usually I use white die cuts and then ink them so am left with white scrap in a thinner card that I can punch some bits out of, and so do not feel very wasteful.  But this is awesome.

Some flowers handmade by me.  They are cut with EK Success Retro Flower Punches and stamped with a script in black.  When creased, they are inked with Colorbox  Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown.  Love the bling in these, it is like loads of diamond chips (I could be wishing).

My butterfly is by EK Success punch, stamped and inked and then coated with Glossy Accents.  Love this Believe stamp from Stamp-It, and the vase is a Sizzlet die, just beautiful.

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Looks like I am on a theme and Anya is that theme.  I love these Marianne Dies, they are so elegant and ae so easy to use.  The card today is made with the Anya’s Corner, it is so stylish and I love using it inside the card too, so easy and stunning!

This is so elegant, the corners speak for themselves and of course I had to use my ruffled ribbon, I love the softness of using ribbon this way.  A piece of lace over the middle and some Cheery Lynn Fancy Flourishes and my handmade flowers with those small roses that I have been buying.

This card is so pretty and special it just had to be an anniversary card.

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday I took my first step into videoland and today I stepped again, 🙂

Today I am showing you how to ruffle the ribbon like I do on so many of my cards, it gives that great texture and fullness to sheer ribbon.

Here is the link to the video on youtube Tutorial Ruffled Ribbon Laurenscraft, hope you like it.  I am not polished at this, but we could wait forever for that, so you might as well get some hints along the way to perfection.

This is a pretty little card to make someone feel much better.  My  usual style with embossed brads to change the colour, ribbon and bows, die cuts, leaves and flowers.  🙂

Thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Lauren
