Hello Everybody!!

Here we are again with another card from the A2Z Easter Weekend Challenges, such great challenges put together by or lovely Karyn Watton.  Challenge 9 was all about using a stencil.

A2z challenge 9

Well Teddy and I just love stencils and we have a whole new batch of them from A2Z Scraplets and we have used one here, it is called  Flourish 2  and we used some modelling paste mixed with a mist made from water, ink and some iridescent powder to create a great background relief and then we sprayed the mist over it randomly so we have pale pink background. 🙂  Kaisercraft Lacey Doily, lace and ribbon ruffled with a bow.  (my Tutorials on these can be found on my Youtube Channel).  I have used a portion of the A2Z Scraplets Brick Work Pieces Set of 4 and made a flower arrangement.  The fabulous handmade embellishment and the sprinkling of Sugar Beads are both from My2Angels, they make fantastic embellishments.

Thanks for calling by!!!!

Hello Everybody,

Hope  all is well and you can feel Winter coming to an end soon with Springlike weather becoming the norm.  I can be wishing.

So I made a card for you.  Well two actually, just for you to enjoy with lushous goodies on them from A2Z Scaplets shop.  Oh my do I love to shop!!

So while I was shopping, I had to buy this fantastic set of four dies from Memory Box called Distressed Windham Collage (style 30041) from A2Z Scraplets Shop of course!  Well you know I love Memory Box Dies and you know I love Distressed and I also love Collage, so this one was just calling my name.  Four beautiful dies in different patterns and sizes just the one I have used.  Perfect for so many projects and ideas.  On this card I have also put some foliage, lovely handmade by me flowers and some other bought flowers and some lovely A2Z Scraplets Chippie flowers Scribbly Flowers Set of 3 Shapes.

The Chipboard flowers have been done with gesso to give a good coating for the spray to cling to.  A double go of Ranger Perfect Pearl Spray and then some glitter sprinkled.  Then heated and embossed.  The embossing was a bit patchy as I think I need more heat, so practice will be needed for this technique form me.  But I am sure you will do better with it. Embossing has never been my best trick!!

The Flowers are finished with some Ice Stickles from Ranger.  I have fallen in love again with this glitter glue, hmmm….

Hope you like it 🙂

And this second card is in my favourite pink and green.  Another new die from Memory Box called Modern Border Trim (style 30048), love these arrows and the cutout bits I have used to add to the area around the chipboard.  The ruffled ribbon and the added (dimensionally) the butterfly swirls from, they are really Butterfly and Flourish Medium from  A2Z Scraplets.

The Butterfly Swirl is done with Gesso, a coat of paint, pink on the butterflies and green on the rest.

Then sprinkled with glitter while still wet, and when dry I have used Ranger Inkessentials Medium Crackle Accents.  Love the way this dries more crackly the longer it dries.

Hope you like it 🙂

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!

I am so looking forward to the new Minion Movie, it is out and in movie theatres, so I wonder how long before Netflix or Foxtel will have it.  I love those little blue and yellow fellows and can’t wait to see it.

So I made you a card, no no nothing to do with Minions though.

This is another one of these wonderful Wedding Cards, large size 6″x6″ in a gate fold style.  The 2 front panels are covered with designer paper and then I have used Martha Stewart Border Punch to make paper lace to lay on the front of the card.  Makes it so very pretty.

I have used the Sizzix Bigz Die Caged Bird for the birdcage for the centre focal of the card.  Ribbon runs around the card to tie it closed.  Decorated with loads of roses and butterflies as well as another ribbon.  On this one, there is room to put either Mr & Mrs or the names of the bride and groom inside the birdcage.  This card also has a special box to keep it in.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Only a couple of weeks and I head off to the Gold Coast for the Scrapbooking Retreat hosted by My2Angels, the best little scrapbook store on the Coast.  Can’t wait, almost ready to go 🙂

So I made a card 🙂

SANY3821

Now this is a Christmas card in non traditional colours, but maybe I need to put DEC on there, as most people are thinking this is a 25th Anniversary card.

You know I cased this card from my friend Lisa at Crafting Cottage, she is so talented and creative, I sometimes think I should just case her work and save my brain the strain of thinking.

She taught me the benefits of sponging over white embossed stamps, and she taught me so many things to do with doily stamps.  Maybe I could be a little more creative when I case her work, or copy it exactly then everyone would know what the card is 🙂

Hope you like my take.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Had to go shop at Officeworks today, almost out of white card, oh and shimmer paper as well, love that stuff and tend to go through heaps of it.  And while I was out I get to have a check of Spotlight and also Eckersleys, hmmm love the smell of new art supplies 🙂

So I made a card for you.

SANY3822

This one is for a challenge on the Facebook group ACCC, Feathers of course.

It is a 5″x5″ card, with a panel on front that I have used a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set to give a lacy border.  Designer paper on the front of that from Graphic 45 My Secret Garden. My favourite ribbon treatment and a bow of course.  A flower cut with MFT Plentiful Petals and Marianne Dies Feathers.  Some real feathers and loads of bling and glitter.

Hope you like it 🙂

Hello Everybody,

Beautiful day in paradise here, lovely Winter’s day, almost still, blue sky and gorgeous warming sunshine.  The back screened room is overflowing with fur babies vying for the best bed in the sun.  I love Winter days like this, it is almost tee shirt weather!!

So I made a card for you.

I just adore this card, it is a Tim Holtz tag on an 8″x4″card.  The Prima Doll stands perfectly on this.  I did a couple of paper doilies under the tag, fussy cut around a flocked piece of Kaiser paper and placed the dressed doll, then added a flower spray.   Simple enough with a bit of bling added, but the spirals in the flower spray are handmade by me out of fencing tie wire and then embossed to make them the colour I wanted.  I love it when I can do something like this.

Hope you like her.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everybody!!!

Oh my it is getting into Winter and it is brrrr cold inside and out.  Today is the Winter Solstice so that means that at least the days will be growing longer even if the temperature keeps dropping for a while.

So with this in mind I made a card to share with you all.

SANY3733

My favourite size card, in square 5 inch. Background is patterned paper with just a touch of Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo around the edge.  Doily from Cheery Lynn is French Pastry.  Chipboard is the new thick cut, 1.8mm from A2Z Scraplets (my favourite chippie in the world) painted white and while wet spritzed with Glimmer Mist Black Cherry.  When dry the chipboard is covered fairly thickly with Glossy Accents.

Finished with a bow made from mesh ribbon and a handmade flower using a Carl Daisy Punch.   Stmped sentiment on the doily is from Stamp-It Australia.  Then a few bling rhinestones are added.

Hope you like it!!

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everybody!!

Oh I have been busting to post this card and some others for a while now, but because I sell them I did not want to post before the card was given.

So lucky you all get to see it now.  I am really happy with these and it is amazing how popular this style of card and box is for very special occasions.

SANY3493

Here is the card open, an Easel Card in blue and white with the main feature butterflies.  The heart in behind and a bride and groom.  Inside the card is the smaller hearts, butterflies and flowers, leaving plenty of space for a handwritten greeting and well wishes.

SANY3495

The card closed. The butterfly dies are cut in the blue and again in the black to offset slightly and give dimension.  The Flowers are all tipped with blue to continue the colour theme as is the heart.  Ruffled ribbon and a bow with beaded pearls throughout.  Plenty of bling pearls scattered on the butterflies as well.

SANY3494

The box for the card to go into for protection and to finish off a lovely special card.  Ribbon goes around the box, glued to the bottom of the box and glued where the embellished heart is on the front, so that the two parts do not get separated.  The theme of the card is carried through to the outside of the box, with the ribbon, flowers, heart and butterflies, although not as much colour outside.

I was very happy with this card and so was the customer.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

I have been off discovering my own style, yes I know you all think I have had style for years, but I am never certain what it is that is my style, so I have been experimenting and have found the most appealing style, the creations of mine that make me happiest are like this one.

SANY3472

Yes this is the one, the distressed edges, the inked edges, the stitching around the edges of each panel, the layering, the pearls, the inked flowers, the vintage look, the ribbon and bow and the tulle on there too.  Very busy, but very pretty.  So now we know what Teddy and I like maybe we will get on with making and stop procrastinating.

Hope you like it too…..

Hugs 🙂
