Hello Everyone,
Seems I am always running lately, time sometimes gets to be a challenge especially when I leave everything until the very last minute! Apparently I love deadlines, love most the sound of them rushing by!!
But I thought today I would make a card that is in my favourite style and I would not be influenced by anything else. This is my favourite layout or diagram and you know I love to embellish……
Oh My!! Teddy and I are both in love with this…. *big sigh and huge smile.
I started with a 5″x5″ square card opening from the bottom and did a PATP panel, DTP inked around the edges for the base with Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink Pink Pastel. You know I love this Deco Arches by Martha Stewart. And pink is getting to be my favourite too.
A centre 4″ panel has been stamped the gorgeous Hello Doily from SU with Versamark and heat embossed with the custom colour embossing powder I mixed the other day (white EP + pearl EP + Perfect Pearl powder). It is so pretty I am thinking about mixing all my own colours other than metallics, white and black.
A pink strip of lace on the left. Then a die cut a Memory Box Catalina Wreath over the doily and the lace, then over this a lovely pink ribbon has been zigzagged down the card. I do these things and attach them before I attach the smaller panel. Also I make sure I don’t want to add studs or brads before I attach the PATP panel to the card. Saves a lot of unsticking.
A nice close up of this area where all the layering is happening.
Next the Memory Box Woodland Branch, there are three of them and three pearl sprigs. A Memory Box Amira Flourish is placed and dimensionally set down and topped with a Laurenscraft flower cut with a MFT Plentiful Petals, the petals curled, inked, layered and finished with a rhinestone.
Did you know I love flowers? Love making them, love using the mulberry and felt ones too!!
The bow is hand tied, no bow maker used, I just don’t seem to get the hang of them, so just a single bow today and attached to the top of the ribbon/lace treatment.
There is a little birdie (punched with the SU punch) holding the banner cut of the sentiment. Yes I think I am thinking of you right now. Thinking of Lisa at Crafting Cottage because this is the next step in our Hello Doily Challenge!!
This card is finished off with a few pearl drops in swirl shapes in the corners.
How pretty is that doily when it is embossed. I love it!!. This view gives another look at the dimension and depth given by the layers. Yes this is definitely my style of cardmaking.
Lisa Lisa Lisa, did you see this??????
Hope you like it, thanks for calling in, hope you have a great day!!!
Hugs 🙂
