Hello Everyone,

Well the fine sunny weather has disappeared and the rain is here again, brrr cold too!! So I am staying in the craft room with Toby with the heater on.

So while I was here, I made a card for you.

SANY3819-001

I have had this die from Memory Box for a long long time, and had not used it because when I bought it, I thought it was a cut out of a flower, but alas no, it is the negative die.  The only one I have, so it took me a lot of thinking about it to make something worthy of it.  Simple but stylist, almost Clean and Simple for me.

Yest just black and white, A6 size card with a thin border of black and an embossed panel, then the negative die cut with a label to frame it.  Usual ribbon treatment and bow, couple of butterflies and that lovely little B Size stamp from Stamp-It Australia.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Do you remember the song “Butterfly Kisses” about the Dad reminiscing about his daughter on her wedding day?   I love that song, it is really such a beautiful song about the bond between the two.  *big sigh.

Well I have a stamp by Lucy’s Stamps (distributed by Kaszazz) that has this sentiment and really is one of my favourite stamps.

SANY1819

This card has it all…. and the collage of clock/foliage/butterfly/running writing is from a Stamp-It A5 unmounted sheet.  Although I think it is available as a woodmount or cling individual.

The butterfly is Memory Box Darla Butterfly (solid) and Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly (filligree), so pretty and very much my favourite.

So this card has all my favourite things and I made it for a Challenge on National Scrap Day (yes they let cardmakers play now too!!).  It is PINK, has a punch around the page, has dies, has Laurenscraft handmade flower, has DTP inking, has lace, has ruffled ribbon, has bows, has bling…… oh yes, but you know I am developing more favourits all the time, I am getting fond of birdies too!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well for you, mine is a corker!!!

Hugs 🙂

But the Big News today is that Miss Lynn, my friend from Canada and SCS is going to launch a brand new challenge over on SCS called the Can You Do It (CYDI) Challenge on the 7th January and you need to be there playing along, cos you can win an embellishment pack made by me….. like flowers, ribbon, lace and bling, now what more do you want???? Everyone wants an embellie pack by me!!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post today, a pretty card in a brand new colour (well brand new for me, Aqua).

I got this ribbon the same day as I got the bling and it matched these blue bling perfectly, then I just matched them from my Vivid Inks.

Oh such a lovely PATP and sponged over the edges, add one of my favourite papers by Bo Bunny from the Blueberrie range of several years ago.  Add the ribbon, straight this time. and that beautiful double bow. I love the softness of organza ribbon, it is my favourite to work with.

Added half a die from Memory Box  for the flower to sit on.  I love this saying from Lucy’s Stamps and I love this Stylized Label from Sizzix and Tim Holz.  Finished with some bling and I love this card, how good would it be to get a card like this to cheer your day?? I would love it!!

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone!!

What an overcast day! Overcast and no rain in sight, sad because it is so dry.  It is going to be humid over the next few days as the weather warms up a bit and maybe some rain then, so start thinking it in for us please!!

Well well what a photo I have for you today, no not a bird, but there probably is one somewhere in tha background, it goes for miles!!  Yes you got it a Kangaroo, you all know Australia is famous for its kangaroos.

Well what can I say, he hops on 2 legs and I am pleased he is on the other side of the fence.

So then I made a card for you, a card with a little birdie on it with a cage in a tree and a little nest with speckled eggs in it!

How cute is that?  It is made from No.20 Crochet Cotten, and glued together with Glossy Accents.  Things are a bit pathetic here at the moment, no white glue (PVA) and have not been able to get out to get any. Soon 🙂

I love making things like this and my own embellishments, I get such a thrill from the journey of making things, and the finished card is like an anticlimax.

The background is hand stamped using Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink in Creamy Brown with a set of Stamp-It A5 Unmounted red rubber stamps.  I have used a Memory Box Woodland Branch for the brances at the top of the card, the cage is a Sizzix Bigz die, the branches/leaves at the bottom are from a Sizzlets die called Branch.  The leaves on the brances at the top have been cut from pieces of the branches at the bottom.

The little flowers are made by a Fiskars plier type punch 1/4 flower and the sentiment is a Penny Black stamp on a handcut strip.

I love the SU Bird punch and use it a lot.  I have been playing with it using punchart techniques so that I can make different, real looking (or more real) birds.  I am so pleased with this guy and now I might have to also play with shading to make my birds look more dimensional.

Now you have so much to look forward to, don’t you?

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going great.

Hugs :)
