Hello Everyone,

Autumn is really starting to show itself with cooler nights and early morning, yes I know we don’t really know what cold is here so close to the coast, but it is cooler to me and I love this time of the year, it is my optimum operating temperature and I am happy to have it.

So I made a card.  Yes yes a Christmas Card even.

Sadly everything about this card is crooked, but them is the breaks sometimes.  I used a Clearsnap product of adhesive strips for the trees and added glitter to them…  simple you would say, but I was not over impressed as the ‘sticker’ (glue) did not transfer easily and did not adhere to the cardstock, hence the movement.  Maybe I just need practice.

Well I have more of them so practice I will get at some stage.

Hope you get messy fingers playing crafty things today.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

What a torrential bit of horizontal rain we had this afternoon, everything was dark at 3.30pm and down it came, amazing, soaking, very wet and wild!!

So I thought I would show you a card I made with my friend Lisa via Skype on Sunday morning, she is such a trick, she fires me along and gets my mojo going.  Why can’t she live next door???

So clever Lisa found a card on Pinterest that twigged her imagination and said, let’s make a version of that, so we did, pop over to see hers at Crafting Cottage you will love having a look around over there.

This is a 5×5 inch square card, with an SU Embossing folder used, a pointsettia made using Spellbinders die and Martha Stewart Branch punch, and my favourite Lucy’s Stamp for cardfronts 🙂

Enjoy, thanks for calling in.

Hugs 🙂

Snowflakes in April…

Hello Everyone,

Well last year I planned on making a Christmas Card a week, and I did, so this year the plan was the same, but I have had a couple of months of crafting, so I thought I had better get a move along.

So here is a snowy Christmas card, pretty subtle snowflake background, lace border, a flourish, ribbon and bow, a greeting, brads,  and a snowflake from glitter paper.

So pretty and I thought I could do better, so here is another.

Very similar card, just love that sentiment.  Teddy is a bit pleased I am crafting again, he was feeling a bit neglected.  we might have to give him a new scarf for this winter, since he is being such a good lad.

Hope you like these two.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!

Well I am sure we will not be making snowmen for Christmas here, but I do love a snowman, they are always so cute!!!

Today I have a photo of a White Crane….. although I always call them Sacred Cranes.  We don’t get as many of them as we used to for some reason, maybe they have moved onto areas with more water laying on the ground.

And a Snowman card for you!!! This was made as a dare in the Alphabet Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers. Our lovely hostes with the mostess this week is the wonderful Susan and she dared us to make a Christmas card with red on it.  Well my snowman has some red accessories!!

I picked up this Snowman die (Sizzix Original) at a garage sale and just love it.  This is an A6 portrait orientation red base card, layered with a white panel and this lovely blue snowflake paper.

The snowman has been cut in white and other bits  have been cut out in the colours needed and then he is assembled and layered.  I have inked around him in ivory to give some depth, but it does not show well on my photo.

Hey Susan, how is this??  Hope you like him.

Here he is again on a tag and just as is, so he could be a tag on his own, or put onto something else.

Oh my look at Ted, he is having fun in a field of snowmen.  The tag is covered in vintage music paper with stamping on it and decorated with some lace and a die cut Merry Christmas from Bosskut.

I really think the green snowman would make a great tag just with some ribbon through a hole in his hat.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs :)

Hello Everyone,
Well what a warm front before the cool change today, could be a shocker if I had to go out in it.  I stayed in the cool of course and made a card, 10 of them in fact for a friend as a gift, early Christmas present.

But before we see them, you might like this little orange delight and absolutely nothing to do with the cards I made.  Just out the front of the driveway, in close my beloved Clivias, or Kaffa Lily.

This was taken a few weeks ago when the snowdrops were out too, love the twisted trunk of the japanese whatever it is. (Tree)  You would think someone would do a bit of weeding on the driveway…. well maybe it is time.

Now you have had that treat, you might like these little beauties…

Oh hey I like them.  They are very simple with minimal supplies.  The cardbases are A6 size with side opening.

Oh and I tried out a new something for me today, the front panel is stamped first, then run through the embossing folder with the part that I wanted to emboss with 4 sheets of normal cardmaking cardstock over it and used the Sizzix with the 2 flip thingies back so that the EF would not do the part I did not want done.  How cool is that???

So I got only part of the panel embossed and then when done, I did a line for definition with my scoring board.  I love it when I learn something new.  Thank you Pinterest.

The stamps used are from SU, the tree from  Lovely As a Tree (I love that set).  The sentiment is from a hostie set I got ages ago, don’t ask the name, I don’t know.  I need to put my sets back together, so that I do know.

Well that is my offering today, hope you like it.  The cards are simple and inside there is a panel with a sentiment on it from the set ??Solemn Silence.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.

Hugs 🙂
