Hello Everyone,

Oh WOW the year is getting away from me, mid July already and I have not even thought about Christmas yet, but then again, I have five months to think about that.

So with this in mind, I made a card.

SANY3785

This is so cute and such a minimalist card for me.  A6 card with a portrait oriention and a vertical opening, I have made the blue panel in textured cardstock, a Memory Box die (so lovely) in black placed directly on the panel, a sentiment  stamped from my new set from Wild Rose Studio (Everyday Sentiments)  and loads of bling, how simple is that?

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Well the fine sunny weather has disappeared and the rain is here again, brrr cold too!! So I am staying in the craft room with Toby with the heater on.

So while I was here, I made a card for you.

SANY3819-001

I have had this die from Memory Box for a long long time, and had not used it because when I bought it, I thought it was a cut out of a flower, but alas no, it is the negative die.  The only one I have, so it took me a lot of thinking about it to make something worthy of it.  Simple but stylist, almost Clean and Simple for me.

Yest just black and white, A6 size card with a thin border of black and an embossed panel, then the negative die cut with a label to frame it.  Usual ribbon treatment and bow, couple of butterflies and that lovely little B Size stamp from Stamp-It Australia.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Well Hello Everybody,

Well Winter is moving on, and I am almost counting till Spring, I love that September is t-shirt weather here, and we can guarantee an Indian Summer in August sometime to it means that from now there really is only 6 weeks of coolish weather.  Not bad at all.  Love living close to the coast for this reason, so temperate 🙂

So I made a card for you.

SANY3826

Yes a sunshiny card for the Aussie Craft Creative and Challenge site on Facebook that I am the creative director for 🙂 how funny is that??  During School Holidays we have a Challenge a Day to keep the mums sane while the kids run rampant!!

So this is an 8″x4″ card with a black panel on the front, covered with another panel that is joined with a border on one side and the sponged template of sunrays on the other.  A yellow half circle for the sun and lovely flowers and leaves.  The leaves are from a Kaisercraft set of dies, and the flowers are MFT Plentiful Petals.  The stamp from Kaszazz.

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone!!

So I have been blogging with my friend Lynn from Toronto, Canada and she motivated me to make a card with her so I could show her how to do it, (she pretends she is not able to work it out, but she is far more talented than the lets on!).  So I found a card on Pinterest for us to make.

Here it is, I like the natural burlap and the overall design, simple, but stunning.

SANY3699-001

So sweet, with inked edges on the background panel and the lace bow and the burlap hearts, love those buttons with crochet cotton ties on them.  The pearls just finish it off.

Hope you like it, Miss Lynn liked the blog it came from http://www.ravndesign.blogspot.com.au/ and went looking at the other cards in the series and found a different one that suddenly she would make all on her own, love you Miss Lynn xxx.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Recently I hosted an online Midnight Madness, 12 hours of creativity with 30 other crafty people chatting and creating from Midday to Midnight.  There were 9 challenges to complete and here is one of them.

Create a project using wet or dry embossing, or both.  Well you know me, I had to use both.

SANY3109

The background panel was run through the Big Shot in a Craft Concepts Embossing Folder Leafy Flourish with a fairly tight sandwich to give a really raised crisp emboss.  Then I rubbed a Versamark Inkpad over the raised areas, not worrying if I got the lower parts of the cardstock as well.  Then covered with gold embossing powder and heat set.  After I had done this I used a sanding block to buff the shine off the raised areas, so I have a really dull surface on the leaves, but leaving other areas of the background with grainy patchy gold embossing.

I have embellished the card with ruffled ribbon and bow, butterflies and flowers and a Victorian image in a dimensional frame.  Overall I was really happy with the result of the background and the embellishing.

Hope you like it too.

Hugs

Hello Everyone,

Sunday, gotta love the weekend, when things are quiet and I can play all day in the craftroom!!

So I made a card!!

SANY2932

So I took a challenge (my own over at Facebook Aussie Crafts Creations and Challenges) and made a card with buttons, now not just any button plonked on the card, but one with the buttons being an intrinsic element of the design.

How cool is this, with buttons making my Christmas Tree?  Surrounded by lots of pressies of course!!

Hope you like it.

Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

I love Wednesday, it is my day at home by myself while the boy is otherwise occupied and I really enjoy the quietness of no TV or radio.

So I made a card a little while ago and thought I would show it to you

SANY2927

I loved making this, very distressed, very shappy, and with dies and handmade embellishments on it.  I have use recycled items too which I love doing.

The raffia is on two tags inserted in the pocket panel made from corrugated cardboard packaging.    Burlap is also in there under the flowers and lots of foliage and pearl sprays. I have alos made a couple of spiral sprigs from galvanised tie wire (fencing stuff) and embossed them in bronze.

Everything is edged with Ranger Distress Ink Vingage Photo to give that extra dimension and texture.

This really is my style 🙂

Hugs

Lauren
