Hello Everyone, it is NRL Grand Final afternoon and almost half time at the footy, yes I am posting too….. Need a breath of air, the Storm are right over the Bulldogs and it is goin to be a long long way back in the second half if I want to have something to celebrate later today.

So earlier today I made this card for the Alphabet Challenge Letter E this week over on Splitcoaststampers.

First off I have completed my dare from Dani with this card as it has an Easel on it.  Thanks for the points Dani

Second I could not help myself with these little beauties all starting with the Letter E…. ooohhhh I love collecting those points.

I have used an Ecru coloured cardbase and layered a panel that has been Edged with scallops and on that have layered an Embossed panel done with Eggplant ink. The Easel has a Eclectic cake painting on it and there are Eighteen candles held by Elastic threaded through Ebony Eylets and there are Eight of those. Thewords Eat and Enjoy gives a total of Eleven countable Elements on my E-card…. (not counting the easel, or one other E)  Tee Hee. This is so fun.

So my background panel in Eggplant is inked in an embossing folder which has been inked in dye ink with a brayer to give lovely even coverage.  I will be doing a tootie on this in the next week or so, as soon as I find out how to edit my video….yes I am a video star1!!!!

The candles are each made indiviually by rolling a little strip of Designer Paper and then gluing down.  I rolled mine on a toothpick, and released the roll slightly, then glued it and then placed in position and gluing down. Then I put a little glue inside the top hole and pushed an end of cotton 4ply crochet thread in and cut if off for the wick.

OK so I may have thought this was cooler than you did. 🙂  I really do think this is pretty cool, and I have a very similar idea for a bookshelf background….
Thanks for calling in, I hope you have a great day.
Hugs 🙂

Oh My this week on the Mix It Up Challenge on SCS our Miss Lynn challenged us to make a simple card.  Well as you know I am not a CAS type person, I love embellishing and I love the journey of the making, the time spent.

I can make a CAS card in 5 mins and feel so robbed by doing this.  But I put myself right out there and came up with these two little beauties.

The first one took a little time….. oh ok about 10 mins, 15 with glue drying and punching time.

Simple, easy and colourful happy birthday card.  Some bling on the flowers.  And the chance to use the die cutter.  The stamp is by Stamp-It Australia.

But then I thought, this is not really a CAS card, go on girl get one done…. so..

Now this fits the bill.  Stamped with Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink, top to bottom, so the ink layers over the one above.  I love Fluid Chalk, it is a dye ink, but has the opacity of pigment and will layer so well so long as the ink it is going over is dry.  Gives great coverage and will blend when you want it to.  The sentiment stamp is by Kaszazz and the butterfly is a Penny Black.  Love Penny Black stamps. I got to be creative with the Liquid Pearls, so pretty and this card got me a mention in CAS card of the week on SCS, how cool is that.

Thanks for calling in, hope your day is great!!!!
Hugs 🙂

Hello Everyone,

Today I made a card for a special little friend of mine, she is a Princess to me and she loves cats.

I also wanted to have my card say just what I feel for her, so I made a digi of Love you more… and also Love you long time…. and you can download them today if you want to.   They are in PNG format so you can resize them to suit yourself in word (3inches wide is a good size for them), but I wanted to have the clarity in them for you.

So here is my card.

Lots of layers, and a PATP border, some embossing, a ribbon and brad, an embossed castle (where else would a princess live?) and a cat (told you she loves them) and there is a PATP panel inside with ribbon and a cat and some words from me telling her how much I love her.

The little flowers are coloured with shimmer chalks and the border is DTP with a cat’seye ink pad with Fluid Chalk Pink Pastel.

The flower is made on a flower loom (“Hana-Ami” Flower Loom) with 1/4″ organza ribbon and secured with a brad for the centre.

Let’s have a closer look.

Once I watched a youtube video on how to do these, it was so easy!!! Although at first I was using cord and it did not work well at all, but I will try this again another time.  Ribbon is very very easy.

Now for the Digi’s

If you click on the digi stamps you can open each one in a new page and download from the new page by ‘right clicking’ to save the image.

Hope you enjoy using them.
Thanks for calling in, I hope you have a great day!!

Hugs 🙂

Oh I love Mickey Mouse, and I love Minnie too!!! I saw this punchart on SCS in the Gallery of  Baker88 and I thank her so much.  This is a very simple to do Mickey and Minnie Mouse, so I copied it for my card for the SCS Alphabet Challenge this week the letter M.

Really I only found this because my friend Miss Lynn asked me to do a tutie on Mickey Mouse punchart and I didn’t read it correctly so just found her an easy one to copy….. they are hinting big time on MIU and Alpha Challenges that I should do more tooties, but not knitting or crochet… well DUH!!!

So here he is……  drumroll please!!!

Oh my he is funny looking, but he will do for a little person, all that bling is sure to please.  I just keep singing that song …… Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse forever hold your banner high… high… high……

you might have to call over to that Miss Lisa’s blog the Crafting Cottage where I get all my inspiration from her fabby creative posts and take a looksie where she has done a wonderful butterfly and flower creation, she gives me inspiration to do my best work you know!!

Hope you like him, thanks for calling in, have a great day!!!

Oh my sometimes I bite off more than I can chew and by the time I was finished this project I think I was slightly over these two characters.

Two of my favourite girls are having birthday parties next weekend and my present to them is party bags in their theme.  Sometimes I am sure I am not sane.  But never mind all done and packed to be dropped off to their mum tomorrow.

Oh my girls are Sarah and Beth Fallows of course, my two angels who love to craft with me from time to time.

Well say hello to Pikachu, there are 19 of these little suckers, all close to the same and made with a 2-5-7-10 box with top flap.  All were handcut and hand coloured onto yellow cardstock.  There are little feet too, but are hard to see.

Well now say hello to Hello Kitty.  All 19 of these on the same type box as Pikachu handcut in pink, blue and lemon, but I am lucky to have a die for the kitty, but all needed to be assembled and decorated, yes all those tails are pieced together after being hand cut.

I am pleased (sort of) with them, so I really hope my girls love them to bits.  And the best part is, I get to go to the parties!!!! Woot Wooo!!!! Thanks Jo!!!

And YES I can make these and many other themes for your prince or princess’ party, assembled and flat-packed for you at $2.50 each plus postage, bargain, eh????

Hey get a go at this!!! I made a card for a boy!!! So hard for me, no flowers, no ribbon, egad! What to put on it???

Those twisty like a pretzel girls over at Twisted Tuesday Challenge Blog really got turned inside out this week, oh my they wanted a card for a child, ok I could do that, but I really didn’t want to colour that much, so I decided to go for a boy, silly decision.  No ribbon for boys, no pink for boys and no flowers for boys……… What on earth was I thinking????

So here it is …………….

Ha Ha did you see it knock the sox off teddy??? He was so blown away by this card, he wants one for his own birthday.  Go Ted!!!

Ok so this is fairly simple, a white A6 standard base card, with a background from Bazzill Typhoon embossed with gadget gear embossingfolder and some Kaisercraft paper at the bottom to match the little robot colouring.

The robot image was sent to me so have no clue who he is by, if you know, tell me please.  He is coloured in watercolours and the white background coloured lightly with chalks.  Cut out with Spellbinders reverse circles, matted onto the largest gear from the Tim Holtz Bigs die.

Embellished with more gears and some brads.  Happy Botday stamped on a banner piece. Like I said simple and easy. Hope you like him.

Supply List:

Sizzix Embossing Folders Gears (from the 2pack steampunk)
Spellbinders Nestabilities reverse circles
Sizzix Bigz die by Tim Holtz gadget gears
Stamp-It Australia HappyBirthday casual

Hope your day has been a good one and you had time to get ink on your fingers!!

No it is not my birthday….. only wishing, birthdays are always nice days, so I wanted one!!!  Yeah!!

Now this is a pretty little card with…. a digi stamp by Laurenscraft, woo hoo and you can pick him up at the end of this blog post.

Another Birthday Digi by Laurenscraft

A simple Monochromatic card in shades of purple.  Image is coloured with watercolour pencils.  By using a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder inked with Ranger Distress Ink Dustry Concord results in a fabulous background in colour and white.  I used a brayer to apply the ink to the EF, it gives a more even application, although dye ink does tend to give a mottled result, but is so easy to clean.  The alternative is to use pigment ink, giving great coverage, but oh it is hard to clean.

Birthday card with embossed bg.

The card is embellished with purple ribbon, baby rhinestones, a little bow, butterflies, a flower and hat pins inserted into the bow.

embellishments ribbon, beads and rhinestones

My friend Sam has gotten me hooked on hatpins, swap hostess extraordinaire and enabler, that is her.   Go have a looksie at Sam’s Blog, Cards by Sam, she does beautiful work!!  I just don’t seem to make many cards that do not have pins in them.  I am really starting to like busy cards, although I am still not sure if this is my style.

Ok so now we are up to the bit you were waiting for.  My friend Lisa has the most wonderful husband, Tony, and he makes digi stamps for her.  Lisa gives them out too, so go check her blog out, Crafting Cottage.  Just remember to give credit when you use them and link to her blog if possible please.  The other day I was skyping with Lisa and asked her what program he used for creating them.  Up till then I was using paint, which is ok but a bit … you know…

So we can thank Tony for this digi because I have moved into the real world of ‘proper’ graphics programs and I am in heaven!!! I can even use my little tablet that has been in the cupboard for about 4 years!!

So this is in .PNG format, you can insert it into a Word document and print from there.  You can also resize it if need be.  It prints six on the page.

Another Birthday Digi by Laurenscraft

Just click on the image and it will open to another screen, then save it to your computer, remember where you put it!!  When you want to use it, just open a Word document and insert the image in there, this will put the six images on a page for you to print out, or you can resize it by clicking on the little handles while holding the Shift key down.  I have cut mine with a 5.5cm circle from the original size.

You will find that most of my digis will be circular shapes or maybe an oval or sometimes a square.  I like circles 😉

Have fun!!

Hugs  Lauren ♥♥

Hey Everyonne!! Cooler day here in paradise, lovely breeze and clouds made for a wonderful day working and then creating!!

Ok so I made a card for the new Alphabet Challenge Round 3 on SCS.  It is hosted each week by Dellsdani and she mixes it up sometimes. This time we have to write a story and the first one is a story with lots of the letter A, next week will be continue the story with the letter B, oh boy I cannot write stories.  So…..
An Angel, attired in aquamarine, flew above the Antarctic in an aeroplane to see the abundant animals.

For a non-story teller, this seems a reasonable start, and the card fits in with the aeroplane over the Antarctic peaks (self-made digi stamp) with punched penguins frollicking about.  Ok use your imagination, maybe a boy would like this for his birthday.

Now I hope you get to make something soon.

Hi Everyone, I am on a roll today and this is my third post, so scroll down to check them all out!!!

This little favour box is a one sheet wonder and I made it with my little friend Beth in mind.  She is wild for cats, just adores them, so I thought I would make a party favour box that she would like and make them for her birthday party (I am sure her Mum will give her and her sister a party) in June.  I usually get an invite too, fun!!!

Isn’t she gorgeous??? No not my idea, saw something similar a long time ago, and as usual, I did my version of it.  It was so easy to decorate with a handcut tail, half circle and a cat’s face.  A little Crystal Ice Stickles to glam her up and she is done.  I make a closure with stick on velcro.

Made with just one sheet of A4 paper or cardstock, scored at 2″, 5″, 7″ and 10″, with cut at 11″ along the longest side.  Score in 2″ on opposite sides along the shortest side of the card/paper.

Hope you like her my Beth!!  Although I think I might have to make her in more pink to really make my little friend happy.

R is for Ribbon.

I made the ribbon for this card from sequined material scraps, cut to look like strips of ribbon.  Love using scraps and recycled stuff when I can. A simple stamped stentiment ad some lovely flowers, ribbon and pearls to embellish.

T is for Trees

I used the Lovely As A Tree set to stamp in Burnt Sienna on white label, layered on gold shimmer cardstock, embellished with a ribbon and a decorated skeleton leaf.

U is for Umbrella

Love this little image, she is gorgeous, so I mounted her on bright blue raindrops and yellow, stamped ‘Wishing you Sunshine’ and embellished her with some lovely Lauren roses.

Here is a close up of the roses, they are just beautiful, I love making these.  Most of my stamping friends are getting these for Christmas.

S is for Santa

What a wonderful jolly fellow this Santa is!!! I have mounted him on loads of red and an embossed Christmas paper and embellished with a bow and pointsettia.

Only a couple more to go, and then I hope they start again at A so we can do it all again.  I have loved being in this challenge.

Get inky soon.
