Hello Everyone,
Well what a warm front before the cool change today, could be a shocker if I had to go out in it. I stayed in the cool of course and made a card, 10 of them in fact for a friend as a gift, early Christmas present.
But before we see them, you might like this little orange delight and absolutely nothing to do with the cards I made. Just out the front of the driveway, in close my beloved Clivias, or Kaffa Lily.
This was taken a few weeks ago when the snowdrops were out too, love the twisted trunk of the japanese whatever it is. (Tree) You would think someone would do a bit of weeding on the driveway…. well maybe it is time.
Now you have had that treat, you might like these little beauties…
Oh hey I like them. They are very simple with minimal supplies. The cardbases are A6 size with side opening.
Oh and I tried out a new something for me today, the front panel is stamped first, then run through the embossing folder with the part that I wanted to emboss with 4 sheets of normal cardmaking cardstock over it and used the Sizzix with the 2 flip thingies back so that the EF would not do the part I did not want done. How cool is that???
So I got only part of the panel embossed and then when done, I did a line for definition with my scoring board. I love it when I learn something new. Thank you Pinterest.
The stamps used are from SU, the tree from Lovely As a Tree (I love that set). The sentiment is from a hostie set I got ages ago, don’t ask the name, I don’t know. I need to put my sets back together, so that I do know.
Well that is my offering today, hope you like it. The cards are simple and inside there is a panel with a sentiment on it from the set ??Solemn Silence.
Thanks for calling in, hope your day is going well.
Hugs 🙂
OMG Lauren I love these! I am going to case you! These are perfect in every way!!! I am on the bus and the screen on my blackberry is getting too small for this old girls eyes! I’m gonna have to upgrade to an I phone! Either that or wear my glasses every once in a while! Lol! I hope we can have a skype date this weekend so you can fill me in on how you did this!!! Love them! Love you! *hugs*
I Zentangle my own Christmas Cards which would be wonderful with embossing such as yours. I never took a paper creating class but I shall go search for different ways to treat card stock before I add Zentangle.
Yours came out beautiful
